They talked of and blamed aquifers from possibly the strawberry farmers watering their crops and causing this. I thought that an incomplete reasoning. Thread: Florida sinkhole swallows man in his bedroom!!! Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world. Whatever feels good to your soul, do that. |

"When the 9.0 earthquake hit Japan March 11, it sent out a ripple effect that made water table levels from Orlando to the Florida Keys rise and then fall up to three inches. CBS4 news partner The Miami Herald reported that the reverberations were felt for two hours, quoting University of Miami earthquake researcher, Shimon Wdowinski saying “It shows that the flow in the aquifer is pretty fast, which is good and bad. It’s good because we can filter a lot of water through there. But it’s bad because in the case of pollution, it can travel very quickly.” Miami local: [link to miami.cbslocal.com] Bumpity bump --> |

I have wondered my whole life about this and do not believe for a second that these crystal clear springs are produced by rain. The force and power of these springs is a mystery. Palm trees once grew in Alaska. This is not said about the rest of the U.S. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73671289 Very interesting. I've been gone looking for pics of FL from the 1964 earthquake in Alaska that a poster mentioned. Still looking around. "This is not the first time Florida’s water tables were impacted by earthquakes far away. Changes in the water table also were measured after last year’s Haiti and Chile shakeups, Wdowinski told the Herald. He also said a 20-foot spike was measured in South Florida after a massive 9.2 Alaskan earthquake in 1964." Holy sh************ [link to miami.cbslocal.com] |

I think it was the Navy that did it? But they placed some Radio isotopes into the water in Tennessee. Finding it in later in the Fla panhandle. I guess Stuff really does roll down hill.. User ID: 73265267 United States 01/25/2018 09:13 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There was a lot of people who's wells sunk back in the late 80's- early 90's in the area around where my dad lived. Years after their wells sunk and they were left with out water, sink holes started showing up on their property. I had Dad's well dug 210ft cased and submergible pump installed. He was separated from the others who lost their wells by a river that divided them. We never really knew why peoples wells sunk instantly out of being, or the sink holes that showed up after they sunk. We had one in our own place where lived and for ages it was high sulfur and iron, the water changed to no longer have the sulfur or high iron in it. The water tables changed while the well remain functioning and years after that sink holes showed up, just no where near as bad as those around my dad's property. The most precious things are the simple things in life, always present in the simplest of minds. |
