A Vaccine would have saved this poor 6 y.o. child

For those who should rethink their stance on no vaccines.

Not sure how informed consent would work for the child. The parents didn't seek medical treatment for almost a week. He developed symptoms then they sought treatment.

The boy was in the charge of the parents. They may face charges now that he died. Sad all around.

They could have gotten the vaccine after he was scratched and it would have saved him. He couldn't be saved from bad parenting.

No it's not injected into the diaphragm. It's injected around the site that was scratched or bitten. And yes the person should get immune globulin and also the Rabies vaccine. A total of about 4 injections.

Immune globulin is taken from another person to give the unvaccinated person temporary immunity until the vaccines can build up.

Agreed. Very sad and I'm betting the parents feel horrible for their mistake.

I have two daughters who were both scratched by a feral cat, very sick and foaming at the mouth. They were 10 and 12.

Both got the rabies series. Four shots each, three times per week for six weeks. Nurses gave the shots one in each arm and one in each leg. Also tetanus and a couple of other injections for other nasty stuff cats carry.

$28,000. Both lived. I am anti vax but the rabies series is necessary medical procedure for injury and infection, not
needless assault on a healthy immune system with mercury and
other toxic adjuvants.

What has happened to common sense?
