Time to make a big ole pot of soup or chowder.

Yesterday I got some fleece lined leggings to wear under regular clothing - 2 pair. The fleece lined ones are excellent for keeping warm.

I was in Walgreen's and grabbed some on sale - the thick kind - not the kind where your butt jiggles around in 'em.

BUT, if you want some of those jiggly kind, the Christmas ones are also on sale for a good deal. Hahaha.

The wind chill is the really cold torture, esp. coming off of the water.

I have stuff for potato, celery and onion creamy soup, with toasted rye bread! Let's make it fun, y'all.

Today was a good day for power, being warm enough for no heat but cool enough so no AC...stay warm

Last summer I said to myself that I would not complain about cold weather again. I will dance and sing and be gleeful making soup and being under covers!

That is true. I'm going for it.

I moved to Citrus County last May, I had no idea I'd be facing freezing temps this winter. Yep, I'll be wearing leggings under my clothes tomorrow... and likely the entire week according to the weather forecast. I really hate cold weather.

I will do this. My cooking baking has not been so successful lately, therefore let me boast on how well my thickening sauce turned out to make the soup very creamy! Yes!

Publix has in their deli 4 kinds of soup daily and it's hot. Chili is available every single day, then they change up the other 3 kinds of soup. It's pretty good.

That heat last summer was electric. Never experienced anything like that. I ran into a lot of people in stores that told me they had to get a breather (what do you call that?) for the first time.
