Thanks! Quoting: Outoftheloop 25190114 I'm new to this, but the way I did it was to set up an account with Coinbase... [link to www.coinbase.com (secure)] Add a Visa/Master Card to the Linked Accounts area. I then purchased some Litecoin. Next I made an account with Cryptopia... [link to www.cryptopia.co.nz (secure)] Then I copied my wallet deposit address for Litecoin to Coinbase and sent the Litecoins from Coinbase to Cryptopia. Note that there are transaction fees for this. Once that's done, you can purchase all kinds of coins. For more details, just go to YouTube and look for 'How to' videos. Why Cryptopia over Bitterx? |

Quoting: Base12 I just created an experimental 'Penny Crypto' investment portfolio to celebrate New Years 2018... [link to cointracking.info (secure)] The parameters are... Total Cryptocurrencies: 100 Unique Coins Purchase Quantity: 100 ea. for a Total of 10,000 Coins Starting Price: Roughly a Penny and Under Initial Investment Cost: $50.00 USD Exchange Used: Cryptopia The goal is to see how each Coin performs throughout the year and of course to see how much profit we made (if any). Will one of these become the next BitCoin? Who will be the top performer? Will we become FonzieCoin Millionaires from just a twenty cent investment? Stay tuned and see! So, you created the crypto coins or just an exchange? FACTS Don't Give a DAMN about your FEELINGS! |

Putting some serious thought into gpu mining large scale with alt coin. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76027377 You are late to the party... The party has just started. I put together 26 GPU farm in my workshop 4 months ago. 1 month: $1900 - 2 month: $2900 3 month: $3800 - started pair trading alt coins to BTC 4 month $4600 - 3/4 way through, undervolting and overclocking to perfection, running at 55-60 C. 0 down times. Upgraded electricity to 6 20 Amp circuits So in 4 months I have payed off 1/2 of original investment. Havent made money except that I can sell the 2 - 13 GPU units for more than I built it them for. When I pay this off, in next 2 months. I will mine only alt coins and collect to the balance of my 2 BTC that I bought 2 years ago and pair trade to infinity. My only hope is BTC goes down haha and then back up and then back down... |

Quoting: CROW Question: Is there a multi coin wallet? If so, whats the best one? Thanks in advance. :D Doge. Why doge? If you trade it you might be able to make a bit of money on minor increases but it has no real long term value. It has a technically unlimited supply and was created as a joke. Electroneum was my first crypto, I bought at ICO. You can buy multi coin hardware wallets but often holding in the currency relevant wallet can have benefits. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 75991922 United States 01/01/2018 09:14 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What's most likely to happen here is one of those coins is going to end up taking over a huge portion of the pie. Right now, it's almost in equal slivers. By end of the year, it might be 1, 2 or 3 large chunks and a tons of tiny slivers. The main risk of losing money here is if your coins get stolen, otherwise you should do great. |

Quoting: rammsteinregeln Had a chat with a guy recently who has been into cryptos for years, bought into BTC when it was cheap, currently he holds no BTC though. I asked how much are his cryptos worth in total, he said about half a million. He said he has now placed about 90% of his holdings into NXT He advised making small investments into the 'sh-tcoins' he called them, the really cheap ones, he said the probability is good for many of them to rise to at least a dollar, and if one invested when they were pennies, well do the math... in other words, what OP is doing Similar in concept to penny stocks perhaps NXT just died. Bittrex has frozen it and is going to delist it. |

This is amazing, and I'm going to do something similar - and bank that one of the major companies eats up a large penny crypto.. Wolf of Wall Street - Crypto Style. American Kingpin 2.0 From roads of Golden Silk to gigabytes of Digital Gold - how a group of investors cornered the Digital Penny Crypto Markets and commanded an empire. "It was after Macy's accepted payment that we really knew it had taken off," Jeff Sears, someone we had hired six months into the glory days - none of the original dozen remember him - just kinda remembers, so Jeff tells the camera. "The place just became.. a mad house." "We were turning $50, one $50 bill - into $10,000 daily - and, well, when there's that much money and power... we had a little fun." "We had the best lawyers." "You taxed us, we're legal now." Sort of the motto since the new tax laws. "We wrote the new laws, mostly, well, on appeal and with congress." "Since we just never stopped filing motions." "It worked." "Hey - the squeaky wheel...." "We were being charged percentage wise the same amount so it looked really bad on paper. We managed to tap into the social media aspect of Crypto and force just enough politicians to stay away from the mess, keeping it tabled." "For now." "Yes, for now, tabled." |
