I just made myself a carton of great cigarettes for about $12. Life is good.
I've stopped smoking Marlboro cigarettes, the taxes on a carton of smokes here in Wisconsin have pushed the price up to about $80.00 which I find ridiculous.

So I "roll my own" with an electric roller. Takes me about 90 minutes to roll a carton which is easy to do while watching some Netflix.

The price? I use good tobacco so my price for a carton is about $12. I could do it cheaper but my goal is an enjoyable smoke, not a "how cheap can I make it?" smoke.

The nice thing about it is that since I started making my own I have no congestion, no cough, etc. Of course all I'm burning, now, is tobacco and the cigarette paper which isn't "fire safety" treated.

As I said in the title, life is good...

Yes, menthol is an option. You can buy menthol tobacco and/or menthol tubes.

I guess I'd point you at the website I'll send you. Of which I am not an owner, a mod, etc. In other words, no clickbait, just a resource you'll find useful.

I like the Peter Stokkebye Turkish 84 tobacco which runs around $20 per pound on sale; takes about half a pound to make a carton, etc.

Like I said, I could go cheaper but I figure if I found something I like, why not stay with it?

The Peter Stokkebye Turkish 84 in a full flavor tube is what I use. And all I smoked before were Marlboro Lights or Marlboro Special Blend. Another option, a bit more complicated, is a blend of D&R Windsail Silver, Windsail Platinum, and Three Sails in a 1:1:1 ratio in a full flavor tube. Very, very close to the point I can't tell it from a Marlboro.

I do hate "nanny states". They raised the taxes here in my state by $1 per pack several years ago. I've never purchased a cigarette here since. I'd buy them on trips to Iowa, Missouri, etc. which are all much lower cost tax states.

Right now, I’m paying about $100 every two weeks for a sleeve of chew and a carton of smokes.

$50 a week isn’t awful, but, if I could save some, why not?
