Net neutrality is the principle that Internet service providers must treat all data on the Internet the same, and not discriminate or charge differently by user, content, website, platform, application, type of attached equipment, or method of communication. For instance, under these principles, internet service providers are unable to intentionally block, slow down or charge money for specific websites and online content. If Trump signs this rule as already passed by FCC, ISPs will be able to intentionally block, slow down or charge money for specific websites and online content. |

First, we adopt a bright-line rule prohibiting broadband providers from blocking lawful content, applications, services, or non-harmful devices. This “no-blocking” principle has long been a cornerstone of the Commission's policies. While first applied in the Internet context as part of the Commission's Internet Policy Statement, the no-blocking concept dates back to the Commission's protection of end users' rights to attach lawful, non-harmful devices to communications networks. This protection too will be eliminated and ISPs will be allowed to block any content they wish. Even GLP. |

From what I understand, regulating the internet like a public utility and turning it over from the FCC to FTC would allow liberals to get a "fairness doctrine" enforcement, censoring what they don't like which, of course, is what people like Hillary Clinton have demanded for years. They're also throwing shit fits about fast lanes when certain traffic is already prioritized, making the internet run smoother. They will wreck the internet which has been fine without their interference. There's also some shady shit with turning control of the IP numbering system over to China which was uncovered by Ted Cruz and some other congress person during the brief period NN was in effect. By the mere fact that every corrupt liberal and their billionaire donors want this, you KNOW it's anti freedom. Liberals want freedom of speech shut down and their Stasi type of control over all communication. In his poem Human Pride, Marx admits that his aim is not to improve the world, reform or revolutionize it, but simply to ruin it and enjoy it being ruined: With disdain I will throw my gauntlet full in the face of the world, And see the collapse of this pygmy giant whose fall will not stifle my ardor. Then will I wander godlike and victorious through the ruins of the world And, giving my words an active force, I will feel equal to the Creator. “Looking for consciousness in the brain is like looking in the radio for the announcer.” – Nasseim Haramein, Director of Research for the Resonance Project |
