People dont understand cryptos were made by Quantum computers like the D-wave quantum computer - people think its hard to mine and impossible to cheat but they know nothing about Quantum computers or how they work-

i aint got the time AI created cryptos to exploit human greed-
You guys are fools your also treating it like a stock market investment and not the intended purpose of being a currency- burn in the lake of fire you marked beasts -
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75964861

Hard to argue with the logic of a bible tard...

Wasn't the mark of the beast social security numbers? And then credit cards? And then QR codes? And now bitcoin? Wonder what the next mark of the beast will be...

end

I read somewhere that there are 3 fatal pitfalls with a digital bit-coin

#1 In GOD Nobody We Trust

If you think the Global elite bankers are going to sit on the sidelines and let this take over, you are crazy. They are playing us all as fools.
yea your right but what can they do about it? nothing. we trust in each other.

#2 No Guarantees
Exchanges have already been hacked and stolen
and... what is your point?

#3 No Inherent Value
Just like there is no longer any value in the Fiat Currency we currently use, there is certainly no value in ones and zero's sitting in cyberspace..... Tell me, what is a fair price? A price based on wild speculation??
does not deserve a response

If you think The Powers that Think They Be are going to sit on the sidelines and let this take over, you are fooling yourself. they are behind this all the way. Just go look at the cover of the Economist magazine from 1988

(unable to paste link from silver doctors commentary)..... /headlines/world-news/world-cryptocurrency-not-gold-backed-yuan-in-light-of-the-1988-economist-magazine/
Snip "It is a growth-crippling prospect. Pencil in the phoenix for around 2018, and welcome it when it comes."

Is the value of Bitcoin the value of the flood of monies into the coin? Is this what it is worth? Pure Speculation!

Money that floods into these coins at a break neck speed, is this what gives it its value?

This is the stuff panzi schemes from the 80's were made of, (except now they live in digital world), those who get in early rake in the money from all the suckers, er people who got in late. They tout how they got rich (off OPM) and are living fat n happy now.
WOO HOO - Good for you, for getting in and getting out. Raking in profits on the suckers who came in behind you. Do you truly wear that badge of honor proudly? Do you look down on others who didn't get in? Couldn't get in? Or had the sense that something wasn't quite right with it?

A digital drug, intoxicating to those who jumped in early, those watching and are tempted to jump in now, and to those in control.

The Committee Called "They" call this a currency, Why? How is that possible?

How can there be price stability in a digital currency that has no limits and that is not backed by anything tangible?

The true definition of currency is to exchange one medium for another. Is this not suppose to be with some sort of stability?

If the value of the dollar right now is tagged to this crypto currency, then we are truly witnessing the de-value of our money right before our eyes.

For every dollar that floods into this 'currency', sucks the life blood away from the masses and makes people more dependent on a digital world and now not only a slave to the debt system we currently live in, but now a become a digital slave, more intwined in the wicked web we all helped weave....

You should be proud of your action.

We all know wallets can be stolen, hacked and now the pickpockets can do it while sitting in the comfort of their chair.

Help usher in the new age of coin, it will be implanted on the back of your hand soon enough, where else would it be safe?

But what do I know, this is just my 2 cents which, in my opinion, is worth more than any digital crypto coin...

Put your Trust in Jesus, the End is near....

peace

Re: 3 fatal flaws with digital crypto currencies in their present form....
Is this a paradigm shift we are entering?
Did you recognize the paradigm shift for the internet? It was a time when people were asking; What is the internet?

Paradigm shifts don't announce themselves. They creep up on you, then before you know it, you're in one.

We are entering the era of web 3. that will involve blockchain businesses that will eliminate the middleman, and un-bank us.

Cryptocurrency is software code that will evolve and improve. There will be ongoing innovation that is an iterative, creative process.

Today a futures market was launched on the CBOE. A new currency class called cryptocurrency is now trading.

The world is not just made of atoms. Today it also is made of digital bits.

What is the value proposition of the digital bit world? One day will you see yourself asking; How did we ever get along without it?

We are clearly in the age of the network. Informational transmission of data doubles, but we can't clearly understand how often it doubles. Money transactions are now in a transformational stage. We will see organic growth leading to investor opportunities.

Yes, this is a real paradigm shift. The high tech, Star Trek age requires this transformation.

#1 In GOD Nobody We Trust

The Global Elite are actually the ones secretly behind the new Cryptocurrency takeover. Think about that for a bit.

#2 No Guarantees

True, but security is getting better all the time

Bankers constantly "Steal" from money holders by printing of currency, devaluing said currency.

#3 No Inherent Value

No different than any other Fiat Currency on Earth.

Boom. That’s /thread.

But seriously, I’m not being antagonistic at all - I love to debate. However this is truly one subject that I simply and flat out find humorous. I hear how many on this site are against the handlers and fiat currency, yet buy into a new and unknown “digital fantasy world” to then trade in for...drumroll...fiat currency!

Indeed, greed.

If Bitcoin was indeed a better way of currency then why isn't anyone talking about it's virtues and why it's better? All the talk is about making huge profits from "getting in" now, That's not what this currency is suppose to be about. The fact that it's so fucking complicated basically rules out anyone that's not in I.T from figuring how it works is the biggest red flag of them all.
It's fun to sit and watch greed take over yet another portion of peoples lives in order to make money.

the value is the protocol as a trustless medium of exchange that sustains itself with no central actors by providing incentives in the form of people mining/staking/running master nodes.

platforms for video media, music, file transfer, contracts can be built on top of it and their are countless examples but i doubt you will look.

THAT'S THE VALUE!!

do you not pay endless transaction fees at banks to do some of these very things?

You and I know it's a new hardware/software/protocol layer forming on top of the existing internet , it's the foundation of internet 3.0.
Everything becomes decentralized ...everything. Everything will be encrypted. Value becomes a routable medium just like data. Lightning-"like networks reduce the complexity of value transaction bringing exponential efficiency and enabling real micro payments in the form of value streams .
Best benefit is censorship and control become conecepts that no longer even apply.

Crypto is tempting as hell.

I'd love to turn $50K into $60K overnight.

I'll stick with precious metals. Silver and gold are tangible and will be money throughout the ages as they always have been.

I think copper jacketed lead is the best way to invest.

I have silver. I have gold. Nothing ensures the value of both like copper jacketed lead. Your delivery system may vary. Mine tend to be sent at supersonic speeds should such be required for those wishing to take them. I also have some that travel subsonic through a can to protect my hearing....if need be.

There IS inherent value in fiat currency. A dollar bill is a "Federal Reserve Note." The Federal Reserve LENT a dollar to the US Treasury, and holding the Note means that the US Government has to pay you back. The US Government has a military that can steal resources if it needs to pay back those loans. That's a guaranty. THERE IS NEVER ANY MONEY PRINTING.

You don't understand blockchain or tangle. Wealth is not greed.

You are grumpy, scared and ignorant... three of my least favorite starting points.

Oh look, mainstream adoption of a value holding medium whose actual value to can be turned off by some weaponized hacking of servers and/or a low level EMP over a giga-data center somewhere in texas.

Oh and did I mention they're going to use it to overleverage themselves and get rich?... until whoever designed this whole system to fail on purpose in order to damage the whole financial system pulls the plug.

But don't worry, it'll be years before that. They need to get as many nation states involved first to ensure the over-leveraging is at a point where, when they do turn off the exchanges and "ligntning networks" and whatnot, it'll be impossible for anyone to pay off any debt anywhere, and cause the collapse of modern fiscal society in the process.

But ya, it's the future... built by no one knows who and who's name in Japanese reads like a coy cryptogram of "we;re smarter than you all capitalist pigs"

But ya, buy in.

The greater fool theory states that the price of an object is determined not by its intrinsic value, but rather by irrational beliefs and expectations of market participants. A price can be justified by a rational buyer under the belief that another party is willing to pay an even higher price.

I jumped to the end... has anyone mentioned how Puerto Rico identified a fatal flaw? The storm wiped out 90% of the electricity and internet on the island. If crypto is the currency, how do people buy and sell when there is no power or internet?
