Less than 1% of the world's population is currently using crypto currencies. We are the ones fleeing the abyss, but keep telling yourself you're smarter than everyone else... How are you fleeing when everything you do with crypto leaves a electronic footprint? How will anyone be able to deal on the side/barter when it's all electronic,if anything this crypto basically ends all freedom to hide, barter, work undetected. You're just buying in to make a quick $$ and haven't thought this through long term. Says the guy leaving an electronic footprint... And to add to that post, I bought in 2013 and plan to hold on to my coin until at least 2020 and re-evaluate from there. I have not made a quick buck, but I have watched my BTC grow in relation to our soon to be worthless fiat! Unlike other get rich quick schemers, I truly believe in the vision of a deflationary, trustless, distributed ledger maintained by the people. Call me an old fashioned Libertarian, if you will. How is the side/bartering going for you? Better yet, how's the spot price of silver and gold doing this am? At the time of this post, my BTC is hovering between $15-16K. I'm happy that you got in early and are seeing great returns but you represent maybe 1% of the population. When fiat money shits the bed the whole system is going to implode,my guess it that crypto will take over before that happens BUT the same people will be running the crypto shell game that have been running the fiat shell game. You're ahead of the curve for accepting one poison for another, congrats Duncan the destroyer |

It's not about returns for me, I haven't sold any coin. I'm waiting until the time is right and it's accepted on a global scale (2020 is my target year for use). It's a true free market deflationary currency, something we have not seen in our lifetime. What a time to be alive! |

I think i can see whats going to happen when millions of users get hacked for their REAL bank accounts for the fake DIGITAL coins they think they have. Who would think that many people would fall for Worlds biggest robbery in history to come soon lol. |

User ID: 75937751 United States 12/10/2017 03:32 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What gets lost in all this nonsense of how valuable these crypto currencies are is the absolute worthlessness of fiat money. Quoting: platzee This is the real story to me. Land and metals are where the smart money is. IMHO. Yes, because silver and gold went up over 10X this year. I believe the price of metals are suppressed. Cryptos are one of the tools to bring the system down. Again only an opinion and nothing about this feels good to me. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75691398 Like it's been explained in detail on many threads, if you don't have the private keys to your BTC, you do not own your BTC! Do not hold them on an exchange. Purchase on an exchange and print off a paper wallet or get a hardware wallet. Coinbase accounts are also insured up to $250k. I'll tell what the biggest robbery in history is, we're living it. It's called "quantitative easing". They're printing money to oblivion. THAT is the reason BTC is so valuable. It's not the price of bitcoin, it's the reality that we've all been lied to in regards to kenyesian fiat currency. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 75691398 United States 12/10/2017 03:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Modern day version of pink sheet pump and dumps. The very top make huge money, those who time it right make a healthy profit. Those who get sucked in are left as bagholders. The government eventually shuts them down. Bitcoin = shell company. I've told you the most valuable commodity - copper jacketed lead. Mine on........I'll find you. And what makes you think that just because someone is into cryptos that they haven't been stacking utility metals as I call them? Been doing it for the past 16 years, fuck I'm getting old. The Abyss stares back... Glp ping pong champ... |

Hence why you should remove your BTC from exchanges and control your own private keys. Bitcoin is unhackable. It's a D-I-S-T-R-I-B-U-T-E-D ledger spread out amongst the world on millions of nodes run on computers. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 75878521 United States 12/10/2017 04:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | #4 What happens when the grid goes down after an EMP attack, or a (more likely) False Flag EMP attack, where the Scum That Be shut it down themselves? If you don't have an internet, you don't have Bitcoin. The people with physical gold and silver will have the only REAL money. Everything else will simply be barter items. Here is a list of what your priorities should be: 1 - God 2 - A defensible home with food and water and supplies 3 - A means to defend your supplies 4 - Barter items including gold and silver And yeah, I've heard it all before... "You can't EAT gold and silver"... Yada Yada Yada... That's why food and water are higher on the priority list. But if you want something that resembles money, it most certainly won't be Bitcoin. At that point, just the word "Bitcoin" will be a joke. |
