God will hastily avenge you if you can stop harboring the thought of revenge in your heart

TO GOD BELONGS VENGEANCE

some 8years ago while I was pastoring my first church in Aba Abia State Nigeria. I use to have a very rude treasurer. Many times the members of the church council have recommended I replace her with another but I didn't because though rude she was doing her job so well. Oneday during a church council meeting she rudely replied me a question I asked her. After the meeting some member of the council who were present came to me and reminded me to un-seat her as the treasurer for her rudeness to me, I replied _this is not about me but God_
I later forgot what happened that day because I didn't put it to heart but as early as 4am the next morning. I heard a cry and a frantic knock on my door. I've been used to be awaken by people who wants prayers due to sudden health challenges or demonic attacks at midnight so it was no strange for me to receive such frantic knock. As I opened, it was my treasurer, she was sobbing profusely and immidiately went down on her kneels and was begging and sobbing and asking for forgiveness for been rude to me during the church council meeting.
what happened? I asked her, she said, an angel of God has not stopped tormenting through the night for her rudeness to me and that the torment will only stop if I forgive her. I immidiately said you are forgiven then a flood of peace radiated in her face instantly and then she was able to relax; she became a nicer afterwards.

God is bothered when we are unjustly punished or insulted or humiliated etc.
Pride would want us want to revenge by paying back evil for evil, insult for insult and wickedness for wickedness. But as God's children lets remember that God saith _to me belongs vengeance and recompense; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come on them make haste._ Deut 32:35

God will hastily avenge you if you can stop harboring the thought of revenge in your heart.

Its terrible to fall into the wrath of God. If you are wicked and rude to people God will avenge their cause against you and if people are wicked and rude to you, God will hastily avenge your cause.
