Re: What's the most scared you've ever been?
Came across a mom and three bear cubs and the one cub ran behind the mom she must have been 500 pounds. I was about 20 feet away when she started bouncing on both paws. I started backing up and as soon as i took one step back she swatted the ground with her paw and started to charge me. I did what you are not supposed to do apparently, but I ran like a mother fucked. I ran fast and slid into a ditch feet first. I could hear her on my ass and when I fell into the ditch, I immediately tilted my head back to look up and she was towering above me just out of arms reach. I scrambled down the ditch but she just followed me on top for almost 100 feet until I made a break for it. There was a road on one side and the bear in a field on the other side. I jumped out of the ditch and ran like a mofo not looking back. Made it home and realized how close it rally was. It was.pretty scary moment

A bear with cubs is scary man.I remember walking by a dump when this guy I knew found two small cubs all alone.I guess he was feeding them for a few days. One of them wrapped around his legs and he couldn't pull him off.You can tell he was hurting lol.
My dad told me a story about a time he seen a cub swimming across the lake,so he pulled up in his boat. When he got too close the cub pulled himself up into the boat while my dad tired with all his strength to push him from getting up.He had to jump out the boat into the lake.
I was walking down a back road one day and out of the bush runs out a mid sized cub 30 feet from me.He went across the road and up the nearest tree.I could easily see his long claws digging into the bark with a loud crunching sound. My heart was just pounding because I didn't want to get mauled my momma bear lol.

Yup, but one of the many good reasons I quit smoking before I was 30, LOL.

Now, in a more Halloween vein:

My sisters and I were always convinced the house we grew up in was haunted. We'd hold Ouija board seances when things got intense - and yes, now I know how bright that was, too! (Hope God cuts us some slack for being very young and dumb at the time).

During one session, we asked the spirits to send us a sign of their presence and a pile of papers flew up out of a drawer and scattered around the room. We scattered, too, and were already outside before the first one hit the floor, I'm sure.

As a very young child (5 or 6), I saw an apparition outside my bedroom window. It was blacker than black and in no way looked like a person, but more of a shape like an octopus head, with cracks like broken glass radiating out from it. In later years, I've come to wonder if it wasn't a hole or opening rather than a spirit or being of any kind. Still gives me the creeps today!

Happy Halloween!

I don't know why your last story reminded me of this. Maybe because I was 5 or 6 the first time it happened.

I would have this dream every year or so from the time I was about 6 until I was 10 or 11. I'm 52 and not only still remember it vividly , I still get the same weird feeling I had in the days following the dream whenever I tell about it.

I was walking in the desert alone, and lost. Suddenly I saw a space ship, and I knew that whatever was in it saw me. Suddenly it started chasing me. I ran so fast. I was sweating, and my muscles ached. I could hardly breathe. I came up over a hill and saw a 'rocket' (our guys) in the sand. Two astronauts came out of it and saved me.

Re: What's the most scared you've ever been?
I was a kid of about 8 years old. My family lived in the middle of nowhere on about 150 acres of land. I have about a half mile walk from my back door to the woods behind the house. I built a great treehouse in one of the trees on the edge of the forrest.

One afternoon I was sitting in my treehouse thinking about whatever kids think about, and lost track of time - it was getting dark quickly. I wasn't scared because I could easily see my house and my mom had already turned on some lights in the house - I could always follow the lights home in the dark.

As I sat there trying to decide if I should head home yet, I saw some lights in the sky. They were at a great distance, but I watched them with interest for quite some time. Then I realized that it was already dark out - I couldn't see anything but stars and the lights from my house in the distance. I slowly climbed down from my tree fort, making sure of every footing and hand hold before I shifted my weight - and made it safely to the ground.

I started walking home and was about half way there when it happened...

Out of nowhere in the still of the night, I was shocked out of my senses by a roar of noise and bright lights. I noticed movement just overhead and dove into the tall grass in an attempt to hide from the UFO. I pissed my pants.

The object overhead proceeded away quickly and I could clearly see the flames coming out of the craft. That's when I realized that a military jet had just flown overhead.

It came low and fast and because I was looking down as I was careful not to trip in the dark - I never noticed it approach until it was already on top of me. The sound was immediate and deafening - and both sound and lights happening at once was more than my 8 year old senses could handle. I was instantly scared shitless...

I ran home worried about how I was going to explain to my parents that I pissed myself - but I didn't need to say anything. My dad was on the phone with the military base screaming about broken windows in the house - I walked right past my parents and went into my room to change my clothes.

The pilot got into some trouble because he buzzed his friends house at 500 feet - they lived right behind our woods. The military bought us some nice new windows - and my parents never knew that their son was a chickenshit that night.

Oh, man, this story ended so differently than how I thought it would. It's actually pretty funny, yet good to know the AF replaced the windows in your home. Imagine the kind of trouble that pilot got into when he returned to the base!
