Numbers 6:3 they must abstain from wine and other fermented drink and must not drink vinegar made from wine or other fermented drink. They must not drink grape juice or eat grapes

When a Nazarite takes a vow to dedicate himself to God, and to make himself holy, he must abstain from grapes. Grapes is the one and only fruit, that was specifically named and restricted in the Bible.

From grapes, alcohol can be made. Too much alcohol, can lead to sin. When Adam ate the fruit, it introduced sin to the world. I remember listening to a police scanner, over half the calls involved alcohol. This fruit was also forbidden in ancient times, in Middle Eastern countries.

However grapes also contain a large amount of melatonin.
