The effects of a nuclear EMP on our power grid are greatly exaggerated. A Carrington Event (solar storm) is more plausible in taking out power grids. Our national power grid and other critical infrastructures are more susceptible to a cyber attack than EMP. You are exactly right in what you said. Mr. Bounds is/was a Cyber Security expert. Based on what I've been told so far. That is what Bounds is expecting to take out the grid is a Cyber Attack. Theres more than just hemps, there are other, easier cheap threats such as microwave bombs or flux compression that may be deployed by agents out of a breifcase and the grid, interlinked as it will sequentially collapse with several attacks at strategic nodes. now that these devices have become widely available, they xan be deployed in a fashion to hide the source or more likely to misdirect to an innocent source. Retaliation will end up being impossible to initiate with any certainty and likely to accelerate the process further. I had the meeting with Mr. Bounds He is very concerned about the grid going down via a cyber attack. he put a cyber attack around 80% and EMP around 20% he made it very clear that not if but when that the system has and is currently infiltrated.
