the biggest issue with Emp probability was that before the offending party couldnt really hide, and could be retaliated against by a process of exclusion.

With proliferation to nonstate and rogue states and sterile launch technology from various sources it becomes feasable to launch and hude and survive in the crowd of potentials, enough of which prevent effective or certain retaliation.
This last option is where we are today and launch capability is available to anyone with one or more pallets of gold or American dollars pushed out of US or other aircraft.
Needless to say a false flag is almost equally as certain, confusing things even more due to intentional misrepresentation.

I find it most difficult to believe that the electrical companies have not fixed say 300 some odd locations to limit the scope of an EMP. It would be insanity if they have not. You people just don't make any sense.

What is the best advice they can give for an average citizen to prepare for an EMP?

Catastrophic failure of micron and nanometer scale electronics as a result of EMP is an effect limited to close proximity to thermonuclear detonation. Serious inductive effects are limited to close range high yield devices.
Tactical nuclear devices could not induce enough current in unshielded (HEMP shielded) equipment to destroy them unless they detonated in very close proximity. If you weren't in a properly constructed bunker, electromagnetic induction would be the very least of your worries.

IOW.. EMP fear porn is absolute bullshit. Worry about being evaporated first, unless of course you have a military that poses sufficient threat to draw the use of large scale nuclear weapons and have a bunker?

What size warhead would have to be exploded over the central USA in order to affect the entire country? Is that even feasible?

Are there enough independent power segments to stay in operation if only part of the country is affected by an EMP - in other words, would any part of the country avoid the domino effect?

Is the NK satellite that currently flies over the USA capable of carrying a weapon that could impact a large part of the country? How large of an area?

Would the explosion of such a weapon be easily visible to the naked eye, especially during the daytime?

Would close-to-shore submarine-fired rockets reach the altitude necessary to produce wide-spread EMP effects?

Maybe i should NOT be lazy and google this, but have we not done numerous numerous AIR BURST tests in Nevada over many many years?

WHY did these NOT affect our Power grid? IS there some sorta difference? I know we tested some big nukes, in the air, in ground, on top of the ground etc...

So why do these "tests" not affect anything? Even with 30 year old tested kilotons I am sure they were MORE powerful than the threat from NKG ?

Ask him can he explain why he thinks its only a question of "when it happens." Is it because he thinks it will be man made (nuke, terrorism, emp bomb, war) or natural phenomena (Sun, CME etc)?
