I had an interesting conversation with a couple of drunk neighbors & they were arguing about killing someone who broke into your home. I said, "Well, they obviously don't give a fuck about me or my Family or the fact that it's illegal to enter, by force or otherwise, property that isn't theirs & I can legally fill the fuckin piece of shit with lead, so why wouldn't I?"
"But wouldn't you feel guilty about killing someone?
"I would assume that they didn't drop by to borrow an egg, a screw driver or a cup of milk & fuckin drop them where they stand. Guilt? Fuck that. I'd be pissed off that I had to clean up their blood but that's about it."
I was then told I had mental problems & needed help.
My response?
"The only reason that we have to put up with some people is that it's illegal to kill them."
I don't think that they liked my response.
I can say, though I have never had to unholster my pistol other than to clean or secure it, I would have ZERO problem & lose ZERO sleep over killin some piece of shit that deserved it, whether it's breakin into my Home, the Home of a Friend I've been asked to watch while they're away or any of the other currently recognized "legal" reasons to use lethal force & I wasn't joking when I said that some people are only alive because it's illegal to kill them.
