Re: NRA retracts support on banning bump fire stocks
When did they support a ban? First statement following the event in Las Vegas outlined a willingness to review and perhaps reccommend addition regulations. I took that to mean that bump stocks would just be subject to getting your $200.00 ATF tax stamp. These are not the bans you are looking for...

Yeah, it's a shame they chimed in on banning so quickly.
 Quoting: Kraut the Deplorable

Proves to Trust no one

At that point, my oath as a soldier is to defend my Constitution against all enemies both foreign and domestic. It is for that purpose the Second Amendment was codified among our unalienable rights, (which cannot be lawfully abridges by individuals or governments). When our government becomes physically hostile to the unalienable rights of the citizens, the militia is the last-line-of-defense. The Second Militia Act of 1792 federally mandated every male between the ages of 18 and 45 arm themselves with privately owned assault weapons at their own expense. This was not to hunt squirrels, but to hunt tyrants. The weapons specified in the 1792 Act were equal to and superior to the state-of-the-art assault weapons carried by all military personnel at the time. That would be the point of owning a weapon with a high volume of fire, to give yourself a fighting chance.

Why not just ban ammunition?

That way all the nutjob mass shooters will be stymied, but the NRA will happy because members will still be able to have all the guns they want.

Reloading busts the ammo schemes. Millions should be doing it before the next Sandy Hook or dimm administration. Ultimate ammo freedom from idiots.

Probably a good move considering that a bump stock has never been used in a crime, especially Vegas.

I've read that the leadership of the NRA has been high jacked by the enemy, just like the Catholic Church and most man made organizations.

There is another gun organization that is suppost to be better but I can't recall its name.

I'm a Life member of NRA. Honestly, I only did it because it was a good deal at the time. I don't give a fuck about the NRA and don't trust them any more than I'd trust a low life fuck like Mitch McConnel (forgive any spelling errors)

HOWEVER, there is another outfit I'm a life member of which is GOA - Gun Owners of America who may be a smaller outfit but they fight for our rights without compromise!!!

I don't know how this lobbying shit works but know when smoke is being blown up my ass. The NRA is professional up-the-ass-smoke blowing outfit.

Check out Gun Owners of America.

They may be a small outfit but they're pit bulls when it comes to the criminals in DC trying to eradicate our RIGHT to keep and bear arms.

Think of the NRA like you'd think of BSA (Boy Scouts). Eventually it's going to cave and let you down. Find an alternative outfit and support the hell out of it!!!

Bump fire stocks are for campfire bullshit where drunk people want to empty a magazine.

If you've ever bumpfired an AR, you know it's a complete waste of ammo since you can't control it.

I plan on doing just that, the NRA wastes too much money. They are constantly sending me crap I don't need. They are sending notice after notice to renew my membership, even though it doesn't expire until March 2018. All those mailings aren't free, stop wasting out money NRA!!

You don't understand how the anti-gun lobby works do you. If you give them an inch they'll try for a mile. With the huge number of RINO's in congress right now, do you really want to take that chance? I don't,therefore the NRA has lost a member.
