Where is the left even going with the gun control agenda.

Obviously banning assault weapons and every other restriction isn't going to stop a determined criminal or worse, an organized crime syndicate or gang.

Are they just bleating out in distress hoping this will stop scary criminals and jihadists from acting out violently and using weapons?

Or is this conversation being steered by the powers that be in control of the media, who are pushing a narrative. Obviously it is in reality an assault on our 2nd amendment and constitution.

I left Illinois as well. Better paying jobs and lower taxes elsewhere. Never moving back there. All my relatives moved away as well.

Thanks for the heads up. Most people don't know this but Illinois is pretty conservative 100 miles south and west of the slum Chicagoland. Unfortunately Chicago politics seem to dominate the rest of our state.

It will eventually happen across the US give it 10 years. It is a numbers game that is not in gun owners favor. Once non-gun friendly forces get back in power.

- You will register them all or get fined/jail.
- Any domestic incident and they show up and you have guns not "properly vetted" just add on some jail time.
- Some states have Hate speech laws - just take your guns..not registered? Tack on a couple years
- You will have to hide them so they won't even be of use to you if you need them.
- There will be a "gun stoppers" rewards hotline for people to turn you in - just in case someone has a gun they are not suppose to.

Most law abiding people especially with a family will be too concerned for their future well being that they won't risk even owning a gun as it will be too much to lose a house, money, kids over. That's the bottom line. Make it too painful to even want to go that route. Just like they have done it in Washington DC people are scared to death of guns, and more scared of the process to get one.

The south sucks, the only reason I live here is for work. Evidently locals are lazy and not too bright. Nearly all employed where I work are from northern states. Some Canadian.
