That's entertainment
Entertainers, while on the job, have no 1st amendment rights. They are hired to do, say, or perform what is asked of them to receive compensation. Every NFL player or players of other professional sports fall under this category.

I'm having a hard time understanding why this is an issue. I keep hearing people talk about these players 1st amendment rights and that they have the right to protest. I see that as being half true. As Americans we all have the right to free speech and the right to peaceful protest. As employees we really don't. Most people aren't in an occupation that would allow or permit them to publicly protest while on the clock,so to speak.

This issue is only being allowed to play out because of spineless douche bags trying to be politically correct or at least cater to the main stream media to forego the demonization that would ensue.

I'll also add that just because you're not a Caucasian you are entitled to an additional set of rule or laws. "We the people" means exactly that. It doesn't give a certain set of rules to a certain color of skin. At least it shouldn't. These days it seems to give added legal bonuses to minorities. It's as if the tie goes to the color of one's skin rather than the merit of one's legal standing.
