Trump doesn't "send" it to Congress. He can appear to have something to do with it, but Congress takes up what Congress chooses to take up.

However I am surprised by his urgent approach to this issue. Indeed, maybe he wanted to say he tried. Or maybe there's no good way politically to remove them now.

I think the problem is the students (and of course MS13 who are probably removable already as gang members.) Anyone can be a student these days, it's not a contribution to the country, there's a snowflake department for anyone with a pulse. These are not future engineers. And for the future doctors getting a free ride and a scarce slot in med school, I think those should go to Americans too.

And it's the students that are up in our faces, "here to stay", politically active. Future left wing Dems. Out with them.

Yes, I know congress or a member of congress brings up issues that they choose to- but Trump could have let it expire on it's own instead of making a big announcement that HE would let congress act on it and give them six months- as if to dignify a temporary order.

Recognize that Trump is weaker now, essentially a man without a party. The Dems were obstructing, but we thought at least he had support from the Senate Republicans. He put Mitch McConnell's wife in his Cabinet, damn it. He bought that support, was entitled to it.

Then Mitch and the rest of the Senate cockblocked him from making recess appointments, by refusing to recess for August. Any single senator could have declined to participate, but it was unanimous. The R party, including Mitch McConnell, told him f*ck you.

That's why things have changed between him and Congress. He now hates the R's worse than the D's, at least in the Senate. He wants McConnell, the turncoat, removed as Majority Leader. For a man who wrote a book saying how his whole dream in life was to be Senate Majority Leader, that would be a fitting humiliation for betraying Trump in August.

But Trump is weaker now, without any reliable allies in Congress. He's doing the best he can, and he's managed to stay in office which many did not want. I give Trump a lot of latitude here and will definitely vote for him again in 2020 -- and make sure everyone in my family does too.

How do illegals or "dreamer" with their temporary permits even get into our military? They don't have a permanent resident card.
