Douchebag nation we're becoming.   I dont have a problem with cops in particular, but every SLC cop I've encountered has been a complete dickhead, and I've never committed a crime in Utah, let alone get arrested or have suspicion of committing a crime, nor have I ever been mouthy or rude to them to cause them to be dicks. 5 years ago there was a huge blizzard and a group I was with got our van stuck in the snow, so 7 of us were out pushing the car and shoveling snow while one was in the driver's seat and a cop came up, stopped his cruiser in a big pile of snow and started yelling at us that we needed to get out of the road, which we were obviously trying to do. He sat there for 15 minutes watching us work our asses off and kept screaming at us to hurry. We weren't causing any traffic problems. His cruiser ended up getting stuck when he tried leaving to yell at other drivers that were stuck just when we got ourselves out of the snow and he asked us to help him, we told him to go fuck himself and left. Ohhhh he was angry, and made all that work worth it. Mormons. Especially SLC Mormons. Country Mormons are OK, though. Country mormons are better than SLC mormons, but I still can't stand them. In a way they look at unbelievers in the same way as Muslims do, difference is they won't kill you over it. I dated a Mormon girl for 3 years and from what I learned from her family (as well as from jack Mormon friends' devout families) if you aren't part of their club, they'll smile to your face and talk shit about you to your back. It would take me 3 to 400 bucks to get my boat into the bay St Marks, Fla. (Gas for the truck, gas for the Boat, Food, Drinks, Safety gear, Radios it go's on.) ONLY to be subjected to assault by these Florida Game commission law enforcement Thugs. It didn't happen once, it happened damn near ever time I left or came back to the dock.. being harassed. Notice I didn't say buy bait. I just went for the ride and a dip in the water. I sold my Boat a couple years ago.. I miss it but Just not worth the hassles. Thanks to the Game Commission, I Quit.. Gave up hunting in Fla. also I now go out of state. Then (they/Fla) wonder's why the Numbers of Boaters and recreational outdoor activities are decreasing? BYE!  |

Some places I have not been able to get into because someone has a truck blocking the road -- and I have asked the cops to drop off items when the road clears up -- and they have always been more than willing to help. Just write the address on the boxes -- and they get it there for me. I have not been able to find a place to park -- with every house putting their entire contents on the curb, flooded cars everywhere, people coming from all over to help out. I have had to pull up on the median and walk in. If there is a cop around I will ask him if I can park there and sometimes they even help me by blocking traffic so I can find a good spot to pull up over the curb. If they have a road blocked off and I have a van full of stuff to deliver -- they move the barrier and let me in... no hassle at all. Have a nice day = GFY. GFY = Go Fuck Yourself. So they are not allowed to be on the roads, flooded or not, by state law. It is also an easier way to control looting, if the looter's vehicle can be identified by it's license plates. They would have a hard time following this vehicle through flooded area. So that would require pulling air assets off of rescues, to follow it. If he is working independently, instead as part of a government run rescue and assistance group, that could be another problem. The local Governments and Aid agencies, like Red Cross, only want certain types of help and mostly just money. They really don't want independent help from regular people, because they can do what the agencies will not do and that makes the Agencies look bad to the public. Which would cause the public to soon recognize how useless they are and quit supporting them. Then the people running them would lose their high paid jobs. And that is all that they really care about. It would be toooo bad if there is a turf war on out there. Its no time for stupid games like that. I didn't watch the vid because of bandwidth but I've seen cops on power trips before. Like I said, its not the time. The guy in the buggy was just trying to help right? |
