THE MACHINE
The year is 2089. Society has been on its knees since the meteor impact and the great plague that started in 2022.

There are no governments, there are no supermarkets, only warlords who rule over various tracts of land that squabble amongst themselves for the few remaining resources.

The highly feared and most despicable of the warlords is Braxton Thorn whole rules over a large area called Braxas, a vast plot once known as Texas. It is here that all fear to venture without proper arrangements for they know what lies within its deadly core. The Machine…

In Braxton’s crazed lust to rid the world of impure humans he has modified the old 33 story frost bank building into a mass execution machine. Each floor of the building has had the elevator door removed and replaced with a stockade. The elevator is taken to the roof and the stockades are loaded with people. The B button, which once meant basement but was crudely written over in marker with “Behead”, is pushed and as the elevator drops 33 people are executed. The elevators run day and night none stop. The heads drop into a dumpster at the bottom of the shaft and are taken someplace, we don’t know where. It’s rumored Braxton is building a castle made of human skulls be we’re not really sure.

Even more cruel is if Braxton wants to make an example of someone he will strap someone inside the elevator for several days, being sprayed over and over with gallons of blood until they eventually suffocate in it.

Not many places have electricity anymore. Braxton has a slave labor force to keep the machine running and is always looking to expand his territory and exploit the resources. His militia consists mostly of forced conscription from various areas he has taken over commanded by a group of dedicated followers who would give their life for him known as his disciples.
