User ID: 5160 United States 03/16/2007 02:41 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hi All, What an interesting question the Original Poster asked! And it is a very good analogy. Meteorologists have a very difficult time and even rely on computers for all the information to be put together for them. Yet, we accept their mistakes. I have been laughed at by other Earth Sensitives as well as the general public who don't know or care what an Earth Sensitive is. I think the mind tends to ridicule what is fearful and different. I also think many people are in a state of serious denial. The Earth is changing all the time and any information that can be gleaned from any direction possible can make you more prepared and might even save a life. But I will be very relieved when the internet goes down. Keeping track of symptoms and getting them published for the general public is time consuming but I think it has to be done by someone. I had hopes that other people would want to learn their body symptoms - if only for their own little communities. But that is not happening much at all. So...I will continue to keep track and try to get more accurate and help whoever wants to learn as best I can until I can't. Here are my 2 sites: [link to earthquakepredictionbytiempe.blogspot.com] [link to groups.yahoo.com] Good luck to all. Peace to all. Tiempe |

User ID: 68695 United States 03/16/2007 07:02 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Being from so. California here... I'd have to say that if I were to have taken all of me breakables down for to be safe from them earthquakes, and every time that I had ever heard one of them kinda predictions.... I woulda fuckin' just kept them down a long long long and very long time ago.... and gee, go figure huh? And really and truly, I just don't get what it's supposed to do for anyone anyways? For example, I was working in downtown Hollywood at the time of that Northridge quake. I worked for Ralph's Grocery Co. at the time, and had just got to work and was just changing into me tennis shoes for to go out and do some stocking before the store opened... and it hit... and, lol, just a note here too... it took out just about all of the bottles in our liguor department... and let me tell ya, you don't even want to be smelling all of that booze/beer/mixers/wine, et al... all mixed together... that's some really nasty shit! Anyways... what possible purpose could it have done any of us for to have had that baby predicted? What are you gonna do... where are ya gonna go... like not go to work that day because some scientist predicted oh yet another earthquake for the greater Los Angeles basin? Come on now... like where do ya run and hide from an earthquake? I knew a chick back in the 80's who was like totally freaked out cuz she bought into all of that pending earthquake doom kinda crap... so much was she freaked out even, that she finally talked her hubby (our store's ass. mgr.) into moving east... and so they did... and then and then... 6 mos later, like they got hit by a hurricane and lost everything. w/luv, just me |

User ID: 11118 United States 03/16/2007 08:02 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I do not advocate using only my information on possible quakes coming to make any life changing decisions...like moving to the East to escape quakes. We have quakes here in Ohio and New York and the wonderful New Madrid area. Along with tornadoes and hurricanes and floods. Being on Planet Earth is a risk. It is always on the move even if it is not visible to us humans. My information (and I don't get symptoms for every quake and some of my symptoms have no correlating quakes) is only a head's up. I wondered myself what good it would do. I know that once I figured out what my quirky symptoms were that I knew I had to learn more and get the information out to the public. That's just me. Someone else may take a pill from the doctor and hope all sensations of the body leave them alone. That's them. If my information is not useful...don't access the websites. If you have bodily sensations that are not easily explained and you don't care...what works for you works for you. I am glad you survived the Northridge quake. I think we are always where we are meant to be...even your friend and her husband. I don't advocate running and hiding at every warning but I do advocate being prepared. Even if that means being prepared to lose everything or pass over to the spirit world. Good luck to you and yours. Peace to all. Tiempe |

What's that gots to do with anything though... well, lol, and save for to maybe feed some sorta fear kinda thingie or other. And personally speaking, and from one Earth-link to another... It just sounds to me like you do not have very much faith in 'our' dear Ma Earth. Yay or Nay for quake forecasting?? YAY Name just one earthquake prediction that has saved any lives. Or even one that had the potential for saving lives. I see weather reports and forecasts that have saved plenty. Many tens of thousands that lived in New Orleans got the hell out before the storm hit. Had 75% of the population not evacuated there would have been a much greater loss of life. I don't see the point of quake predictions. Are you going to suggest evacuations based on an impossible ability? I don't know anyone who has been successful. Especially the number game players, claiming that a certain range will happen on the planet, without giving a very specific location. If quake forecasting methods whether scientific or woo-woo had the infrastructure and data collection/exchange as modern meteorlogy does we might better see what works and what doesn't. User ID: 209840 Canada 03/16/2007 09:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Did Animals Sense Tsunami Was Coming? By Maryann Mott for National Geographic News January 4, 2005 Before giant waves slammed into Sri Lanka and India coastlines ten days ago, wild and domestic animals seemed to know what was about to happen and fled to safety. According to eyewitness accounts, the following events happened: • Elephants screamed and ran for higher ground. • Dogs refused to go outdoors. • Flamingos abandoned their low-lying breeding areas. • Zoo animals rushed into their shelters and could not be enticed to come back out. The belief that wild and domestic animals possess a sixth sense—and know in advance when the earth is going to shake—has been around for centuries. Wildlife experts believe animals' more acute hearing and other senses might enable them to hear or feel the Earth's vibration, tipping them off to approaching disaster long before humans realize what's going on. The massive tsunami was triggered by a magnitude 9 temblor off the coast of northern Sumatra island on December 26. The giant waves rolled through the Indian Ocean, killing more than 150,000 people in a dozen countries. Relatively few animals have been reported dead, however, reviving speculation that animals somehow sense impending disaster. Quoting: DrPostmanBut there is quite a network of seismographs available. What else would you require? Thats reactive technology, I'm talking about proactive, satellite, solar,EM and the woo-woo stuff definitely needs more research. Can Satellites Aid Earthquake Predictions? John Roach for National Geographic News July 20, 2004 Earthquake prediction is an imprecise science, and to illustrate the point, many experts point to the stories of Haicheng and Tangshen, China. In the winter of 1975, scientists observed changes in land elevation and water levels near the town of Haicheng. People said their pets were behaving oddly. Minor earthquakes, known as foreshocks, increased in frequency. An evacuation was ordered. On February 4, a few days after the evacuation, a 7.3 magnitude earthquake struck the region, killing 2,041 people and injuring 27,538. Chinese officials estimated that more than 150,000 people would have died had the earthquake not been predicted and the town evacuated. Anonymous Coward User ID: 11118 United States 03/16/2007 10:39 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hi Gooderboy, Yep! Becoming human and in the flesh is taking the biggest risk of all. :) No Fear! as the saying goes. We chose it and we live it or die as the case may be. Oh man! I love the Earth and her wild spirit. She is to be admired. Like my wonderful Mom who is now spirit...I revere the spirit and volatility of the Earth and all she is. How could anyone not - we are all made of her being. We are the Earth and she is us! What more can be asked? Okay, think of a surprise birthday party. Some people love that stuff. With me...it would cause a heart attack or at least ruin a perfectly lovely day. I list my 'places to watch' to try to keep people prepared so they don't have a ruined day. (Hey, some people LOVE to feel an earthquake happen and if you are somehow told when to watch for one...you don't miss it or attribute it to a semi hitting the next house.) Actually, we are all made of the same stuff. Your symptoms are my symptoms are the next person's symptoms, etc. Yours may be in a slightly different place on the body because you live in California but they can be tracked. In 4 or more days from the symptom you can find a correlating quake. Why would we and the so-called animals (we ARE only 'arrogant animals') have these symptoms unless there was a purpose for them? Anything that is a mystery to man does not stay that way if we search for the answer to the mystery instead of blocking the truth. Sorry about your breakables. Peace to you and yours. Tiempe. To Dr. Postman, You must have already heard about the elephants who...instead of going where their mahouts were sending them, headed for the highest spot on the island and saved their lives. That was a tsunami prediction but the elephant felt the earth move and knew to climb high. Prediction action. Humans tend to depend on seismos and they are wonderful tools. Many humans in Japan and China really depend on their animals for precursor information. We here in the West have had all so-called "para-normal" information ridiculed out of us by the time we go to school. Maybe that is changing. But "para-normal" is a stupid qualification because humans will not accept "un-scientific" information. It must be repeated and verified in a scientific manner. Okay...check out my archives. I may not be perfect but my predictions repeat and repeating is the end all and be all of science. I totally resent the "woo-woo" term. What is your criteria for "woo-woo"??? Something out of YOUR paradigm? Something that scares YOU witless?? Modern meterology is more dependent on computers than they ever were. The Earth itself is changing. Half the time they are wrong in their predictions and they can always blame the computer. What happens when their computers don't spit out information?? You would behoove yourself to align yourself with Mother Earth as well as using technological input. Peace to you and yours. Tiempe. To Normal is Subjective, Nice moniker. I agree. Thank you for your info. Peace to you and yours. Tiempe. To Thuro, I am sorry to hear you say that. It means I may be in severe pain up-coming. Visiting USGS everyday...but I enjoy the straight forward and easy to use European sites more. Peace to you and yours. Tiempe. Peace to all. |

TEXAS UNCENSORED User ID: 210041 United States 03/17/2007 01:18 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Thanks for the kind words, OP. I've been predicting successfully since October 1989. Above 90% accuracy. Has it saved lives ? I don't know. I hope so. Has it alerted anyone in areas prone to quakes in time to get their emergency packs updated ? Yes. Has it a point ? Yes. In my area of it, I have found that migraines, ear ringing, and other symptoms precede quakes. Other symptoms precede volcanos. It may lead to better understanding of migraines, and better medications in the future. There is much more to it, but that's for starters. Those who have these symptoms can learn to use this as an early indicator of activity, where, and how large. As to predictions, it enables me to sometimes be ahead of and more accurate than those trained in geophysical sciences. It has led, also , to better treatment of many children with ear pain. |
