Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75309075 To an extent but you must be willing to learn and put forth effort on learning how to turn something you love into a business or career thus the 10 steps above I can only speak for myself but Ive followed the above plan for around 2 decades plus now and my library is around 20 times that of the books I listed now that I've read but I have made it to that evil 1% club people always bitch about which is weird since I hate the government and elite one worldwrs more than anyone heh :p Fighting and triggering liberals and SJW's in the trenches of their safe spaces since 2014 Signed, The Patriot Mind |

IF IT IS TO BE IT IS UP TO ME ... live by this every single day 2.) If you do drugs or drink alcohol ... STOP 3.) Read the book "Financial Peace" Revisited by Dave Ramsey then put its teachings into practice !!! 4.) Realize that all MOST college degrees do is teach you how to learn the rest of your life and are many times not needed... most of the extremely successful self made people I know do not even have a college degree but it doesn't hurt to get one on a topic that interests you. However, unless a degree in the STEM fields for a specific career it's still going to just be a piece of paper on the wall. 5.) After understanding number 4 above, it's now time for me to share with you how to get a better education that will lead to extreme success that's by you guessed it studying and reading.... just because your not going to get a college degree does not mean you do not have to learn and keep learning your entire life even with a piece of paper on a wall. 6.) SUCCESS must do's!!! If your to lazy to complete the following below then your never going to be a 1%er.... A.) You should do the following and I promise you will never go without good money flowing in monthly and an ability to build wealth over your lifetime. You can pursue this occupation most anywhere in America ... The List for your Success... do these in order over time.... B.) Spend a year or two on these books below read them each at least twice ... just read the first time no notes just let it sink in as you read then read a second time taking life notes to yourself as you go then compile them in a large Journal of your life notes... Read the following books... then again taking life notes How to Win Friends and Influence People - Dale Carnegie The Millionaire Next Door - Stanley & Danco Think and Grow Rich, The Original Version Restored and Revised copy - Hill The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, 25th anniversary edition - Covey Rich Dad Poor Dad - Kiyosaki The Richest Man in Babylon - George S. Clason The Law of Success in Sixteen Lessons - Hill See You at the Top - Ziglar The One Minute Manager - Blanchard The Greatest Salesman in the World - Mandino Who Moved My Chesse - Johnson Chicken Soup for the Soul - Cainfield and Hansen Fountianhead - Ayd Rand Atlas Shrugged - Ayd Rand The Virtue of Selfishness - Ayd Rand Common Sense - Thomas Paine The Conscience of a Conservative - Barry Goldwater Witness - Whittaker Chambers The Road to Serfdom - Friedrich von Hayek Mugged, Slander, Treason, Godless, Guilty ( 5 books ) - Ann Coulter Free to Choose - Milton Friedman Rules for Radicals - Saul D Alinsky ( know the enemy leftists tactics and how to recognize and defeat them ) This is the Leftists playbook - know thine enemy The Federalist Papers - American Founding Fathers The United States Constitution The Declaration of Indpendance Most Important book of all the Bible ... I Recommend the HCSB Study Bible or the NIV Zondervan Study Bible - I have both and use both but like the the HCSB the best of all my bibles... get a big nice one to last you throughout your life and don't be afraid to write in it ... Read each book twice - once read without taking any notes then once while taking notes for your life journal Except Bible read it throughout the year and take any notes you desire as you read - that one is a personal journey and will have its on conclusion for you personally 7.) If you do the Above it's more valuable than any college education period there are a few professional degrees that are exceptions like doctors nurses engineers teachers etc but very few ... most college degrees are horse**** not worth the paper they are printed on... but even those professional degrees will not groom you for the kind of success your capable of by reading, comprehending, and living the books above. That will take you one or maybe even two years of self paced learning but you have to want to Make it happen or it never will ... take any jobs to get you by while you focus on learning the above ... 8.) Once your done with the your studies above.... be well groomed and dress for success everyday... "fake it til you make it" 9.) Throughout the rest of your life continue to read and learn and always always have at least 30 day supply of food and water ( or way to purify water ) on hand along with basic means of survival without any government help for a prolonged disaster ... that's just a bonus suggestion 10.) If you read all this and are willing to put in the hard work your life will blessed with much success ... if your to lazy to do it then you get out of life what you put into it Regards The Patriot Mind Thanks. I would add: 1. Always be special. For example, if you choose sales as a career, don't sell cars, houses, insurance, etc. Too much competition. 2. Start your own business. I have started or bought 6 companies in my life. I wish I had never sold the first one! 3. Live extremely thrifty early in life. Each dollar saved or invested grows exponentially over time. 4. Delay marriage and serious relationships until you can afford them. When you do marry, make doubly sure your mate shares your values. 5. When there is a lot of money on the line, TRUST NO ONE. I have been scammed by people that seemed like salt-o-the-earth, church going, totally trustworthy types. I have been cheated by EVERY business partner I ever had, save one (my best friend). 6. Don't borrow money unless it is to purchase an appreciating asset, e.g., real estate. Build your business on cash. Don't loan money either. 7. Get education SPECIFIC to your chosen field. Take classes. One of the biggest hurdles is thinking you can rely on experts. Not true. You can be the expert. I could go on, but these are my most important life lessons. |

Learn to cultivate multiple income streams so you are not dependent on a job. Do what you love so that work doesn't feel like work, but do try to turn it into something that makes money. Many people either know that instinctively or it was instilled by their parents. If you don't grasp the necessary steps in one book alone, several dozen more won't help. As for college... take an entrepreneurship course and business management. |

Anything to do with money, get it in writing! So many people I know ended up SOL because they failed to do just that. Also, avoid being a contractor for rich people unless they pay you reliably. Many of them got rich by fucking people over, so tread carefully. |

Many of them got rich by fucking people over, so tread carefully. I manufacture parts for companies that are repeat customers. When I detect signs that they are either unethical or becoming insolvent, I put them on COD. It really helps if I can hold their latest order until payment is received for past orders. Also, having it in writing is often NOT enough. It takes years to sue someone and it is often impossible to collect (like my former partner who moved to Costa Rica owing me a lot of money). I prefer to NOT let anyone owe me large sums now. Serious, industrial companies understand your caution and are not insulted when told the order will be COD. |

Always know what drugs are and who is doing them to avoid getting them into your car to get into trouble, or have papers that say you can. if someone says it's a bad idea, don't ask them why, just tell yourself they're lying and find out why, it's probably medical research. |

Beware of consultants. Most just take your money and deliver little value in return. 2. You can fly under the radar when you start very small, but as soon as you grow up, follow every government reg to the letter. The liability can often be criminal as well as civil fines. 3. Collect books and references in your chosen field. Many young people think everything worth knowing is on the internet. NOT TRUE! I spent over $2000 on rare, technical books last year. They are already paying off with formulas and operating data that have won new markets. Many technical books are no longer being published. Grab them; they are gold. 4. My father, who was audited by the IRS many times because he was in the music industry, told me, "Get a good, reasonably priced CPA whose clients are NEVER audited. You want a CPA who does not lose cases with the IRS". I got advice from a friend was an IRS agent. The CPA he referred me to has kept me out of trouble for over 30 years now. He has been worth every penny. Note that I have not had much luck with lawyers. Got scammed a couple of times with high fees and no good results. 5. Don't waste much time trying to collect old debts or suing people. Your time is better spent moving on and making more money. I hope that the young GLP brethren will learn these lessons. Almost anyone can become successful. I once knew a guy who was borderline retarded who became a millionaire. Another guy I knew became wealthy after suffering massive brain damage in an accident. |
