These driverless(autonomous) vehicle are coming: they just make sense.

The only additional; wireless communications will be (eventually) between vehicles (no different than multiple wifi routers in an apartment complex). active RF (radar sensors will output such low power (to limit range)as to be a non-issue.
You don't need to detect a vehicle 6 miles away hidden in a cloud bank; just along side in the next lane. Lasers rangefinders present no such doomy health threats. Ultrasonics are perfectly safe.

The Semis(at first; then passenger cars) will form efficient convoys (by themselves).
Say three or four are going to Amarillo Texas from Denver.

The lead vehicle will break the wind and set the pace for the remaining.

Semi#1:"we are heading south on I 25 at exactly 55mph. follow me at 8" bumper to bumper spacing; until we get to Colorado springs, then separate to two car length distance (to allow for traffic merging) .
A constant 55mph is fine because they only stop for fuel, service or recharging 24 hours a day; 7 days a week.
Semi# 2, 3, 4... Acknowledged.

Semi#1: I am slowing from 55 to 53.7 over the next .1 mile for merging traffic; maintain close interval.

Eventually all vehicles will communicate; accidents(and traffic deaths) will be a thing of old wives tales.

Have heard this garbage for a decade now, used to believe all this tripe, don't buy it anymore. I've thrown in the towel, bring on my self driving car. Cannot wait to get the time I waste in a car back. Sick of fighting everything, if it makes life easier, I'm in. All on borrowed time at this point anyway.

I've always said this was a bad, BAD idea. Who the hell is pushing this driverless agenda anyways? I don't know a single person who thinks this is a good idea. Don't the American people have a say in this? Has the Dept of Transporation, the Interior or whomever sign off on this? It just seems these corporate entities have just up and decided for all of America "hey, there are going to be driverless cars nows".

If you're okay with newborns having smaller brains, cell towers for driverless cars are just the thing you might be looking for.

We already have"active cruise control"from most major manufacturers that adjust automatically for slower vehicles in your lane. Teslas "auto drive" has some bugs but it's just first generation.

Driverless cars are an intrusion on your freedom. You will be electronically 'medicated' as it were. Positive ions will enter your body through your breath and through your skin, disrupting the normal balance of positive and negative ions within your body.

There isn't any more fundamental biological function than the proper balance of ions both positive and negative inside your body. Our society already has an imbalance of too many positive ions.

The cell towers for driverless cars will be adding a tremendous increase of positive ions into your body.

You will be receiving electronic poisoning 24 hours a day.

Actually that's not the reason to be sick from driverless cars. It's because they suck driving. I have driven in a Tesla model X with autodrive and it sucks. It is not smooth and it makes you feel sick.

That is reason 5g has been rolled out without much fanfare....it is the worse possible wavelength a human could want to live around!!!!

And the traffic adjusts (brakes or accelerates) to open a 110" slot for a seamless smooth merge.!

Did you consider that part of the reason you felt sick was due to the increased amount of positive ions you were being subjected to in addition to the non smooth ride?

Engineers can improve the non smothness, but they sure as hell can't stop the bombardment of positive ions that will hit us while we are in the car and outside the car.

That's what people are saying. 5G is really bad.

There are likely hundreds of billions of dollars if not trillions riding on driverless vehicles. The monied interests are all lined up already. That's why you keep hearing positive news stories about it.

It's bought and paid for news designed to shift the sheeple into accepting it.

The 5G wikipage is fascinating.

Seems like the technology is there, but there has to be a massive reshuffling of existing proprietary bandwidths, like satellite communication bands, in order to accommodate 5G.

There won't be any serious rollout of it until at least 2022, most likely longer.

Time enough for every living thing to get shaved...

In the study, the rates were exposed 9 hours a day with 10 minites on, 10 minutes off.

When driverless cars are common, you and I will be exposed 24 hours a day. That wouldn't produce a straight line increase but an exponential increase because thresholds would be crossed.

back when they came out with the microwave oven,they said there was a shield in it.hmmm ever take 1 apart?? they are light=no lead. now lets go to hospitals and check how they deal with x-rays. they still go behind a wall to be safe from the waves.so it can't be safe to bombard ppl with all this radiation waves.how many ppl would actually stand in a room full of waves if they sat and thought about it and had a choice?? yet we do in our own homes.
