UHHH - Another to Clinton Body Peter W. Smith, GOP operative who sought Clinton's emails from Russian hackers, killed himself

Back on May 14th of this year, Republican political operative Peter W. Smith confessed to the Wall Street Journal that he had attempted to collude with the Donald Trump campaign and Russia to rig the election in Trump’s favor. He then died ten days later, and the story was published after his death. After weeks of attempting to find his official cause of death, it’s surfaced: suicide. And based on the note he supposedly left behind, it appears to have been suspicious in nature.

The official government report on Peter W. Smith’s death has finally become public record, and the Chicago Tribune is confirming that it’s officially been classified as a suicide. The eighty-one year old Smith is said to have taken his own life in an Illinois hotel room and left behind a note in which he insisted that there was no “foul play” involved. The note may have insisted too thoroughly.

Smith’s supposed suicide note said that there was “NO FOUL PLAY WHATSOEVER” in all caps, instead listing his failing health and an expiring life insurance policy as his reasons. But this stands out as suspicious. Most (not all) life insurance policies are voided in the case of suicide, and there is also the question of why someone his age would have an expiring life insurance policy.

There is obviously more to this story, and someone wanted him silenced. Smith was trying to get Hillary's emails for the GOP to use as dirt and he suddenly became a huge liability to the Trump campaign when that became known when he confessed to the WSJ. He died ten days later, well before any special prosecutor, grand jury, or Congressional committee could subpoena him, get him sworn in and testify.

Life insurance will pay out for suicide death if it occurs 2 years after the policy was taken out. Also a good portion of long term life insurance policies do terminate after you turn 80 +.

I think most people know that policies don't pay off when the insured commits suicide.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Peter W. Smith left a suicide note that said things like “NO FOUL PLAY WHATSOEVER” in all capital letters, while listing his failing health and an expiring life insurance policy as his reasoning for taking his own life. But that didn’t sit right with a lot of people. Shane Harris, who interviewed Smith for the Wall Street Journal just before his death, tweeted that “When I spoke to Peter Smith I had no indication that he was ill or planning to take his own life.” . This led Congressman (D-CA) Ted Lieu to get involved.

Ted Lieu, who was a prosecutor before he joined Congress, tweeted “You don’t need to be a prosecutor to know that someone writing NO FOUL PLAY WHATSOEVER in connection with a death seems awfully suspicious.”. Lieu then retweeted Harris’ tweet about Smith.

While Ted Lieu hasn’t publicly said as much, his tweets suggest that he may be using his position in Congress to try to get details and answers on what really happened to Peter W. Smith. If he did indeed commit suicide, we need to know that for certain. And if there was foul play, that would be a bombshell in the Trump-Russia scandal.
