Well they do and it may be because the foreign providers maintain a US office (or at least a US address). When will Americans wake up and understand that when Big Business and lawyers get together and set up "laws" and systems and then buy, or more correctly OWN, those who oversee the process that all it takes is the right words on the right piece of paper for Grand Theft to become the new business model?

When it comes to American business, it may be against the rules to evade, but it is part of the rules to be able to avoid. I owned and operated an engineering firm for 15 years that operated out of New Jersey. When I started the business, yearly corporate taxes were based on sales volume and it was easy to avoid paying any taxes by simply taking out all of the profit as personal income at year's end and paying the 28% or whatever it was on income to avoid corporate tax. The state eventually decided to implement a minimum tax on business whether the business had a profit or not because the dimwits in Trenton aren't that bright to start with. I looked into "legal" options to avoid this and there were plenty such as incorporating in another, non-taxed state and having my NJ office as a "satellite" office and it would have cost a lot less to do that than to not.

However, doing business in NJ was already so difficult with all of the monthly, quarterly and yearly forms and reports that adding another set of issues was simply not worth the trouble, so I closed the business. My employees and subcontractors would just have to go find other suckers that did not mind the pain in the ass that the government is. This is a prime example of what is meant when you hear complaints about states being business unfriendly. Big Business can easily afford the extra efforts because they have all of the lawyers and accounts they need to work around any and every requirement. Add in a politician or two on the payoff and they can get around ANYTHING!

Yes, if you are a lawyer, insurance executive, or a politician. In reality it is now becoming more popular and far more cost effective to travel to foreign countries for services...

If what you say is true it sounds like a new global medical system being implemented at the American tax payers experience. This should enrage all working people in the once great country. This explains why all the deductibles are so high , we're taking care of a large portion of people that are not GD citizens. There slowly bleeding us out.

You got that right. And the few times we needed care, we still paid plenty and got almost nothing toward the deductible. Better to ask for the cash price and pay straight out.

I'm longing for cheap catastrophic plans like my family had several years ago, but even those are astronomical now.

Most doctors are dangerously retarded & don't want to care to or know how to fix it.

So it's best to avoid most of them if at all possible.

It is encouraging to see so many who realize that we are all being victimized by the scum at the top for profit and to hell with any services that we who pay might need. Health "insurance" is really just a racket that placates the non-workers at the bottom and takes care of the sellouts at the top at the expense of those who still have enough income to be worth robbing. I would prefer to be robbed at gunpoint by a thug with a ski mask. At least that would be honest theft.
