My Cat Got Shot And Killed | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 75060717 United States 06/24/2017 01:20 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Around 7pm, my husband heard a gunshot. A couple of minutes later, when I opened the door to take my old dog Sheba out, I saw one of our cats, White Foot, laying next to the stairs. He had been shot, and from the size of the bullet hole, by a 22. I tried CPR, but there was no bringing him back, as his lungs were full of blood.I could hear the blood sloshing in his lungs when I did the chest compressions. Quoting: tiger1 I called the police, as the shot sounded like it came from the gangbangers house on the corner. The gangbangers had been partying at their house since about noon. When the police arrived, I was holding my dead cat wrapped in a towel, sitting on my front steps, my cats blood all over my clothes, and bawling my eyes out. There was nothing the police could do. The gangbangers would not cooperate with the police, but they were told if they cranked up their music again, they would be cited. I didn't see who shot my cat, so there was nothing the police could really do. We buried White Foot an hour ago. White Foot was my 14 year old dog Sheba's walking companion. He showered Sheba with affection, always rubbing against her, and licking her face. White Foot was very young, only a year and a half old. We are in shock.I still have to change out of my bloodied clothes and try to get some sleep. Wait until around 4:30 am and set there house on fire. Make sure to be standing outside in black with a bat or a 2 headed ax and wack the fk out who ever runs out. You will feel better soon. You never respond in haste. Always let at least a few months go by. After they've forgotten all about this, and have probably committed several other evil acts by then. Then... You strike. Make sure to think it through carefully, so that there is no way your retaliation can bite you on the ass, from a legal standpoint. People like these gang-banger types usually have numerous enemies. If you let a few months go by, they will have a hard time figuring out who F'ed them. But if you respond soon after they did something to you, then you become the first one to pop into their mind, when trying to figure out who exacted the revenge. If you don't want to get revenge, I can understand. The scriptures say "Revenge is mine, says the Lord". But if you do, make sure to let some time pass. Don't get yourself into trouble for the likes of these turds. Spoken like a true forensic file addict! Addict? lol I've never even seen a single episode. I don't even own a TV. It's just plain old common sense. No Forensic Files necessary. |

The police need to question people -- the likely suspects. After all, your cat was very close to your house. The shot could've come through and killed someone. But forget about all that, it's your cat!...a member of your family. What city or state was this? |

After a lung shot, an animal isn't going to go anywhere. White Foot was on my property. The only time he left my yard, was when I walk my old dog Sheba. He was her walking companion. Sheba is deaf, has asthma, and has low vision. She was born this way, it is not from old age. She depends on a companion animal when we go on a walk.It makes her feel more secure, and she enjoyed the genuine affection she got from White Foot. White Foot absolutely loved Sheba, and constantly rubbed against her, and licked her face. You have to get out of there you might get shot next. |

I have a friend who had a cat when he was young, some horrible little bastard shot his cat with an air rifle, when I think of that, it saddens me no end and makes me very angry. I know what I would do about it, but then I live alone, there's no way on God's Earth I would let this go. |

We had the Humane Society come out and they did some work trying to find the neighbor who was responsible. They knocked on doors and put up signs saying "warning, dog killer in this neighborhood". |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 71383886 United States 06/24/2017 01:42 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is outrageous! Tiger, I believe you should move away from there and find a calm, nice place to live. A place where you can live in peace. I hate what those neighbors did, they are sick in the head! Quoting: Who is Blue Fairy Please know we all love you on here and pray for your safety. Gangbangers are in nearly every community. Where can you really go? I moved from one part of my city to this part, because of the gangs. My wife and I up and moved to a smaller town 2 hours away because the violence (among other things) was getting so bad. Now we live in an apartment twice the size for the same amount of money in a small town. Across the street are what would be million dollar homes being build for a fraction of what it would cost where I'm from. There are farms around the corner, and the walmart is full of upstanding citizens. The walmarts all presumably got together in a meeting and decided they are all equally disgusting after 11pm. Screw the water park and scre scouts. If you want to teach Jr. about the world, take them to walmart...after hours. That will scare a suckerfish off of whatever it is sucking. Whatever therapy that comes out of that experience...it is worth it. |

My 94 year old mother lives less than a 15 minute drive from us.We all pitch in to help her. We are pretty much stuck, to say the least. Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 70974179 United States 06/24/2017 01:54 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I can't express how sorry I am to read about what this evil did to your beloved friend. I can't even begin to imagine what I'd feel or do if I had to experience what you just have. I hope that justice will come soon. Words may not help and advice may be inappropriate right now so I apologize in advance if I've stepped out of line. Please stay safe and maybe consider getting some type of camera set up around your home. It won't always solve future issues but I think I'd keep it in mind since they sound like the type that don't give a damn about any, minus their own, at times. Take care and try to remember the good times with White Foot instead of the end. I know that is easier said than done and may take much time. Just stay strong please. If you need extra support as the days go by please look online for sites that are there for folks that are grieving their pets. I discovered a Rainbow Bridge type message board that was free and helped me over a decade ago after I had trouble coping with a first death of pet as an adult. I think there are many still around. They had free candle lighting and would include a pet's name in the weekly light if requested. Hoping you and husband and all other family members will be okay. RIP to your beloved. |
