cute friend…but wrong wind.

I know most of you are indoors at this time staring at your computer screens, but when you do get a chance…go outside and listen to the wind for a while….it speaks.... it speaks of change, among other things.

Joking aside...I was out earlier and noticed that we had a very very cold Southerly, a right bite to it!! We normally associate such a wind coming from the North!! But I didn't hear it talking to me though!!

Re: Listen to the wind, it moves differently…
Ok so its no big secret that I live in Chicago. I was just outside, listening to the wind. It blew and blew, and made a whining noise in my ears if I was turned in the wrong direction, but did not speak. Strange, all my life, if I ask nicelty the wind has done my bidding, either stop blowing or at least slow down on a cold day, or blow steady when I am sweating badly...the wind has been my friend for a long time now. You think you know the wind?

I, not too long ago, made a crucial and nearly irrecoverable mistake by attempting to COMMAND the wind. It should be stated here that the wind does as it chooses, and obeys noone's command. Show it love, show it reverence, show it respect, and it can and will be your best friend, but make a single attempt to order the wind around, and you will learn that the wind is indeed, alive, and none too happy with you.

I apologized every day, but the wind blew and blew, with no sign of stopping. It would blow directly at me, head on, every where I went. I could literally walk down a street, wind in my face, turn 180, and start walking, and within about 10 seconds, the wind was again in my face.

One day, I had had enough of my "battle of wills with the wind" I decided to go out, in the freezing cold, all bundled up as much as I could, and let the wind beat the crap out of me until it was finished. Two hours and 20 minutes I sat in the nonstop wind(in the wintertime, in Chicago), facing it as it shifted direction. Then when I could take no more, I cried, I apologized, and I simply gave up. I stood up and began walking to the door to go back inside, and i noticed that the wind had slowed down to almost nothing.

Since that time, the wind and I have been friends again, and again, if I ask politely, with my heart, and include my reasons for my request, it is often (but not always) granted.

I have yet to hear the wind speak however.

Yes friend, I hear you. I have been noticing this now for several days, from a northerly direction, the wind I mean…it just sounds so different ….and I’ve been around now for 45 years. I also know that some will hear and some won’t, but that should be NO cause for division amongst us, that is, if you know the truth about it.

I have also notice an increase in "Spiritual" activity lately…Interesting times dear souls…interesting times.

I heard the wind a week before the big snowstorm last week. Just before the storm, it woke me in the middle of the night - roaring. Calm yesterday, and I could smell spring in the air, so at least that is normal.

it's a weird feeling and sound to experience

The wind is broken here is Southern California. We usually get the strong winds every fall like clockwork, but for a few years now it has been spuratic and misplaced. The "Santa Ana" winds as we call them here... they are broken. Inconsistent. Out of season.

Good morning GLP

Quote…I know most of you are indoors at this time staring at your computer screens, but when you do get a chance…go outside and listen to the wind for a while….it speaks.... it speaks of change, among other things.

Change

Well, that didn’t take long…changes, I mean.

I’m going to get a little personal with you today GLP and tell you just a few of the things (changes) that have taken place in my life since I posted this. About 2 weeks ago I get the “call” from my step-dad, who basically raised me from the age of 3 or so, telling me he is dieing of cancer and doesn’t have much time left to live, a month or 2, from what the doctors are saying and though He told me they are going to operate, it doesn’t look good. His spirits are “high” though and he said he is ready to go, has little to no regrets in life and He seems quite calm about the whole thing.

Then, as I had only about two weeks to contemplate this whole “issue” I get another “call” from my cousin… My real (Biological) Father just died (April 10th) who had suffered much in this life in just the last 10 years or so: 8 or 9 heart attracts, triple by pass surgery, COPD, Diabetes, which cost him both his legs, and on and on. Both men are/were rather young, under 70 years old.

Now if this wasn’t enough, there has been a ton of other “changes” takening place in our little world, day by day, mostly for the good really.

Now I know you can be a “compassionate” lot at times GLP, but I do not seek sympathy or any such thing with the sharing of these things and there is really only one reason I’m sharing this with you all now. Change

I was just wondering if any of you have notice this yet. 2007 is turning out to be quite a strange year friends, lots of changes in store.

Well, I have a “wake” to attend later today so I need to go. Enjoy the day my friends!

Peace

God Almighty who made Heaven, Earth, all the Angels and satan is the 'CHERISHED ONE." Since God Almighty who never had a beginning or end, but always was and is......IS the "CHERISHED ONE," who are you??? Another phony Mormon that's who.

What is the point about the wind? The Holy Spirit, who IS God and LORD, is like the wind; you can't see Him, but He is always there.

And it isnt only the wind...its the earth, sun and so on.
