What do anti-evolution bibletard and pro-immigration libtard have in common?

They both have made their entire ideological system crucially dependent on a fundamentally peripheral and largely irrelevant issue.

These bibletards have made the Salvation - as delivered by Christ's death on the cross and subsequent resurrection - dependent on one's belief that an allegorical creation myth is, in fact, an objective fact. This makes no sense. Christ died for you and whether you believe in evolution or not does not change it. All you need is faith in Christ.

As a result, the bibletards fight tooth and nail against natural scientific facts and try their utmost to bend the reality to their ideology. It harms them, it harms Christianity and should stop.

The pro-immigration libtards, on the other hand, are doing exactly the same by maintaining that you cannot be a liberal person unless you blindly accept immigration. They state that any criticism of immigration makes all your other liberal values void. That's nonsense. Immigration is just one topic and topics like crime, poverty, wealth gap, use of natural resources and education are equally important. Yet, they make immigration a lithmus-test for your liberalism - just like bibletards do with evolution.

Note that I have used the terms libtard and bibletard to differentiate these people from liberals and christians who are far less fanatic and close-minded.
