There's rarely a authentic motive behind men talking to exes. It's either him wanting to know if he still has power over her, or he wants to have a lil sexy texting fun to get his rocks off while his gf is on the rag, or he is actually looking for sex but he has zero intentions on getting you back, he is merely keeping his sexual options open. Men will say and do almost anything to keep their sexual options open, even if that means he is confessing his dire love to 7 different women at one time just to have them all on the hook. |

We broke up 4 years later. I went to visit her 7 years later and we were married shortly after. April 9, 2018 will be our 24th wedding anniversary and we have two awesome kids I'm 50 and my wife is 48 |

I confronted her about it and she told the truth. Shit broke my heart. Everything happens for a reason. I really believe that. No matter the pain I've felt since. She recently reached out to me saying how she wishes things were different. I wished her the best and said goodbye. |

I contacted my ex 40 years later and we apologized to each other. We should have met when we were more mature. Government is a body largely ungoverned. |

He was a shallow idiot with no redeeming qualities, but it took me many years to see that. Be careful. |

User ID: 12716342 United States 06/18/2017 09:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I got an email today that honestly shocked me. Let me back up first with some back story... Quoting: BamaGirl73 my ex-boyfriend and I have been split for a little over 4 years. The first few years I hardly gave him a second thought, but for over a year now I've been having dreams about him and things keep reminding me of him. And, this was probably a stupid thing to do...a few months back when I was feeling very depressed, I emailed him and confessed that I still love him and always would. I honestly didn't think I would ever hear from him as he is in another relationship and hundreds of miles away. But..today I get a short email with a promise of a longer one later, that he hasn't forgotten me and he's not happy where he is now. I don't know how to feel...part of me is elated, part of me is worried and part is just confused. Has anyone else got back together with your ex after years apart and had it work out? I did, twice. When I was in high school I had a "friend" and never really thought much about him after we left school. Some years later we met by chance while out shopping, went to lunch, had such a great time and I couldn't believe how much we had to talk about and how much we had in common. We have been together for six years now and very happy. About two years ago I received a letter from my college sweetie. We met for lunch and what a dud...there was NO sparkage, no anything...I found myself eating faster just to get rid of him. LOL, it was awful. I agree with others who said, "Be careful," though. |

I definitely plan on being careful...I'm a much different person now than what he remembers me as, so that could be a good or bad thing as far as he's concerned. I have no intention of jumping back into anything with him without careful consideration, because there are other factors, such as my family and health, that come into play. I just, I would love to at least see him again and talk to him. That's what I miss the most, the talking and laughing we used to do. I believe in God, guns and Old Glory.
