Oh, and they had SOFIA (telescope) monitoring Yellowstone for some reason recently. Why?
It won't let me post links about it. Do a search for "SOFIA Yellowstone" and you will see valid and reliable links about it.
Quoting: a Dude, not THE Dude As I said in my missing post, they are also tracking the drifting hotspot and the size of the magma chamber using any method they can, including drilling into the ground and taking measurements hundreds of feet down in strategic spots to place sensors. I had read about this use before of the SOFIA infared satellite, thanks for posting about it.
