Cast Iron baby, my main pan was bought by my Grandfather when he married my GM. It fed all 5 of my kids and is still going strong waiting for grandkids to feed,
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74923905 My cast iron (black pot) was purchased in the 1930's, and has been passed along from generation to generation and now it is our turn. Talk about making a nice blackened redfish filet, or that rascal makes the best roux, praline, chicken stew, jambalaya, shrimp stew, you name it and it will deliver, (not for red sauces). They are the best. No toxins that I can detect, the original owner lived to the ripe old age of 86, the 2nd owner 83 both families lived long and healthy lives, and we have had it since 2004. Cast Iron baby.
