Here's another question for ya, AC444: If you're so worried about our terrarium getting foggier, why do you support importing people from low consumption environments by the MILLIONS.EVERY.YEAR. into high consumption environments?

That would solve so many problems, and leave us with a far more peaceful world.
 Quoting: Lady Jane Smith

You know what.. let's just have another civil war. Let's see how that works. Trumptards can have their own country, libtards their own. International, universal sanctions on the trumptards... and no more $ flowing from the libtard states to the Trumptard states...

I bet you last less than a year.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75008444

So ur pro-GLOBALIST and dont give a flying fuck about America! Because thats all the PA is, the implementation of Globalism and the dismantling of the American Economy.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74984555

Uh.. yeah. I don't see Globalist as the epitaph you do. We have one planet. It's like a terrarium. Buy one this summer, grow some shit, see what happens. That is life.

We are all interdependent. Yeah, hate the liberals, I'll hate the Trumptards, but yeah, I know we're interdependent on each other so we have to make this terrarium work. It's not your way, it's not my way, it's the middle way that lets us all flourish, terrarium style. You aren't going to choke out the liberal "weeds" as there are just too many of us, and even if you did, you all would die in the process, since our states fund your states.

The American economy will be dismantled either way. It's a question of how it will be rebuilt. Trump wants us to go backwards and become isolationist, like Kim-Jong-Un. That way isn't the answer, unless you like wearing brown shirts.

Or we could rebuild it on renewable energy. Didn't Trump make a pledge to rebuild our infrastructure?

What happened to that?

He doesn't care because he doesn't actually remember. The guy has Alzheimer's and he just passes whatever is put in front of him to sign.

Facts? Holy crap you just have to go to their web site.. all the facts you want.

You the shill, I think.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75008444

You just have no confidence whatsoever in the American people, do you? How old are you, 17? Whatever, you clearly have little life experience. That's why you can't yet make decisions of any import. And with that I'm being generous. There's a good possibility you have a .gov email addy.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74999404

I'm in my 50s. For reference Nixon resigned on my 8th birthday.

And you are how old?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75008444

50s, eh? Well. That's even worse.

Fact is, your arguments are so full of holes....where do I start? Oh yeah, here's one. You "Republicunts" and their aversion to raising minimum wage. OK Einstein, how would raising the minimum wage help low income U.S. workers while the corporatocracy is free to avoid paying it by continuing to move operations to your 2nd and 3rd world pollution sinks?

Speaking of pollution sinks, how does simply transferring pollution from one place to another mitigate your AGW?

And why give our money to other countries to ostensibly help THEM develop clean industry rather than spending our money to help US develop clean industry?

See? Your arguments for the PA/AGW are Swiss cheese.

No surprise, really. I'm actually more interested in your answer to my suspicion abt your email addy. .gov? .edu? C'mon, which is it?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74999404

Ha ha.. you didn't tell me your age! I am glad to engage you in discussion either way. I have avoided this site for many months, because nobody actually wanted to discuss anything. Regardless of whether we disagree or agree, I thank you for engaging me.

As I said in later reply, I do not have a .gov addy and have never worked for the government. I'll add here that I have long thought that it's okay to have a big government as it is keeping our economy afloat-- like it or not. I understand the "not like" argument completely. I am just saying that when Obama came into office in 2008, slashing gov't would have meant lots of out of work people competing for jobs. It's similar to Trump's infrastructure plan. Skunk works projects to build infrastructure, can keep a tanking economy afloat. Whether they are outright gov't email addy jobs, or "private" jobs given huge government subsidies ... what is the difference?

(for the record I've always worked in private sector and never been in a job that even remotely had gov't subsidies)

I have two adult (20s) age children and raising the minimum wage would be huge, as they could afford to get their own place which yes could fuel the economy!!

What does ACW stand for?

I am just saying that in a globailist economy, right or wrong, countries specialize. So some specialize in military industrial complex, others in energy, others in science and technology, other in producing crappy Target shit, others in being the waste dump for the world. Which do we want to be?

MAGA .. somehow I don't think this means toxic waste dumps or sweat shops.. but maybe you do?

Here's another question for ya, AC444: If you're so worried about our terrarium getting foggier, why do you support importing people from low consumption environments by the MILLIONS.EVERY.YEAR. into high consumption environments?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74999404

It's a good and fair question.

In the right environment it would fuel our economy. Immigrants coming in (legally) would compete for minimum wage jobs that some of our citizens think are beneath them. And/or would keep other citizens on their toes (I'm thinking here about the elites in universities vying for scholarships). I.e., the problem isn't immigrants, it's how we deal with them -- do we encourage an underground or level the playing field.

On the flip side is the emotional argument and I'm an American who's ancestors came in from Ireland during the famine. I can't turn anyone away who'd seeking asylum. Because that is what America is all about.

What about your ancestors? Are you native american?

You know, it really isn't that hard.

If GW /CC is a problem it should best be dealt with where it originates. There is no reason to have a KEEP IT IN THE GROUND movement, when you can just LEAVE IT IN THE WALL instead. If every large population center in America pledges to black itself out (except for essential emergency services) for one weekend each month, say "Leave it in the Wall Weekends" the Progressives can stop global warming and reduce their demand to such point that the fuels probably would stay in the ground.

Attacking the users of the product would be more egalitarian than attacking the producers and would spread the pain around.

I bet there would be howls in American cities if something like this were proposed, it is a lot easier to pass a law that mandates others to bear the cost.

Unless of course medicaid is withdrawn in which case.. well let's just say we have nightmares about all these demented octogenarians wondering about the streets because there is no health care coverage and their 60 something children have no jobs to pay for their care, and have health issues of their own...

Casting these lobbyist out of our Government is and was a very good thing.
Their attacks on our industry, trade, resources and government is economical terrorism.
They spew the economical radical propaganda for recruitment and incitement to do unlawful acts, just like terrorist do.

 Quoting: bigD111

He's upset me for a lot of reasons, but I am also compassionate because I do think he has dementia. In that a lot of what he has done is not "him" -- it's whoever is handling him right now. And they all should go to hell for using him in that way.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75008444

In what way are they using you?
 Quoting: bigD111

Not using me, using him. To get their own agenda across. This whole Paris Accord smacks of Bannon, for example.

I mean Trump's twitter feed is proof he has no idea what he's signing. Someone puts it in front of him, he signs, the next day he's saying exactly opposite of what he's signed. Like he doesn't even understand the whole health care stuff. He thinks he signed single payer, by the looks of his twitter, and ... no.

50s, eh?

Ha ha.. you didn't tell me your age!

Do you not have any experience with 70 something parents or relatives who have dementia? It is a thing.

My MIL fooled us for a decade. She was really good with confabulation (google it). We saw her every day. It was the family members who saw her only a few times a year that picked up first on her decline, before we did, since we were like the frogs boiling in the pot in comparison.

She has a 6 second memory. But she's so searingly smart.. she can still fool you. Pretending to know you, when she doesn't.

She got admitted to the ER for a UTI which made her hallucinate that an umbrella was a snake. Still we ere all in denial. We brought her home to live with us, but four adults couldn't handle her full time care. Because she was a sundowner and didn't sleep all night. Kind of like Trump tweeting in the middle of the night. He's probably also pooping all over the white house. My MIL pooped everywhere, forgot where she was mid-poop, but still she could fool people who would come over in the morning when she was mentally sharpest.

He is the oldest president.
