Mayor Frank Jackson, Chief Calvin Williams, Deputy Chief Wayne Drummond and Safety Director Michael McGrath spoke at the news conference at Cleveland Public Hall. “There’s a 12-year-old kid dead. I mean, you know, people on both sides are going to say it wasn’t enough, it was too much. There was a lot that went wrong with this situation. 1) Kid shouldn't have had a gun 2) Kid should have been in school, not in a park 3) Dispatch didn't give full information to police 4) Police approached too quickly and too closely without all the info they should have had. 5) No one involved did what they should have done and a young boy died. Every step of the way this was a screw-up. I think the other cop should be sent to retirement or desk jockey the rest of his career. 10 days is too little penalty. What this was NEVER about was race. Not even a contributing factor. God Bless President TRUMP! GOD BLESS AMERICA!! |
