Jesus, everyone is getting their panties in a bunch over something which has a simple, straight forward meaning.

In Trump's letter firing Comey, he said Comey told him on three separate occasions that he (Trump) was not a target of an investigation. If Comey says that is not true, either in a hearing or an interview, Trump will bring out the digital recordings of the meetings. That is all this is about.

As to Comey being the leaker, he was not the one who outed peoples names or what is happening as to investigations. It would be too easy to nail him and he wouldn't have put himself in that position. Most of the current leaks are coming from inside the WH. That is one person's fault - Preibus. He is the Chief of Staff. It is his direct responsibility to ensure that the machine is well oiled and working. It isn't.

The older leaks came from Obama loyalists who are either no longer in government, have been isolated, or have been driven underground and know they are under suspicion. Trump would have no problem calling up Sessions and telling him I want to make sure they are prosecuted for divulging intelligence - and those people know it.

That is the whole thing in a nutshell. Prove anything to the contrary.

I think his reasoning for tweeting that was to let everyone know that Comey was at least one of the leakers. His position in the FBI shows that the FBI is involved as well, if true. This comes on the heels of them doing this very thing to the Trump campaign during Trump's run.

I don't think it is an 'oops' moment, I think it is a 'gotcha' moment. Comet's firing came suddenly and without warning, so Trump has proof of something.
