Everyone is aware Star Wars was just a movie, right?

And impossible things happen in movies. Never seen Luke Skywalker take a dump... makes for a poor theatre experience (or maybe not).

Point is... shit like this; and shit like the 9/11 official story, only happen in movies.

James Randi is fraud.
He publicised a "supposed" million dollar wager, which he claimed he would pay to any person who could prove psychic power.
The fraud was, that he didn't have a million dollars to spare. Any serious challenger was refused.

That's the kind of debunker Randi is.. the lying kind.

Still it was a funny post.

Oh come on.. I was telling everyone else to lighten up. This little Star Wars allegory doesn't debunk the 9/11 conspiracies...

So Star Wars proves that rebels from a desert planet really can strike the heart of empire without inside help. It also proves Lando Calrisian lives in a cloud city. In other words, in proves nothing...

Except... that the dark travelers among us speak with British accents; that point is pretty obvious.

The best thing about "Star Wars" , for me, was losing my virginity after taking my date to see that movie... and we started necking across the Park from her apartment, right at the war memorial where Duddy lost his in "the Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz".
The following morning, I went out to the depanneur to pick up croissants for breakfast. There at the checkout stand, the Reader's Digest headline said "Virginity is Back in Style".

Spooky or what?

James Randi was also on the false memory society board.

It turns out that most of the members of that board (Rumors on Randi but magically they have been driven to the very back of the search engine searches...) were pedophiles.

This is unrelated and there is no proof of wrong doing on Randi's part yet. (But there IS smoke...)

I am shocked and appalled that this type of character defamation is still going on. Vader's loyalty on this issue is above and beyond reproach. The weakness comes from reporters like you who are always digging around and giving up our secrets to the enemy. The raidors were able to get through because someone like you probably did a story about the unfinished death star, saying how it was over budget, and how a lot of the systems were still not working, that there was political infighting keeping the project behind schedule. This just emboldens the enemy. When will you guys learn.

Stupid thread.

During 911, rebels thought they were really rebels.
But in fact, one let them think they were such rebels.
Empire let them ..... target the death pentagone ...

hm, i think i got that name completely wrong, should have been "Marcello Truzzi", editor & founder of skeptic magazine "Zetetic Scholar".

Truzzi developed cancer and died a few years after leaving CSCICOP.

Kammann, another member of CSCICOP who left in disgust also developed cancer and died a few years after leaving:

"Richard Kammann was associate professor of psychology at the University of Otago in New Zealand, co-author with David Marks of The Psychology of the Psychic (1980, Prometheus Books), and a Fellow of CSICOP until his resignation in 1981 as a result of the "Mars Effect" controversy. He died in 1984. -- Jim Lippard"

Kammann had badly embarrassed a number of CSCICOP members, exposing a campaign to discredit data supporting the "mars effect" through intentionally misleading and invalid statistical analysis -- or perahps even worse, from the perspective of these member's reputations, sheer, monumental incompetence.

"6) How could any pilot shoot a missile into a 2 meter-wide exhaust port, let alone a pilot with no formal training, whose only claim to fame was his ability to “bullseye womprats” on Tatooine? This shot, according to one pilot, would be “impossible, even for a computer.” Yet, according to additional evidence, the pilot who allegedly fired the missile turned off his targeting computer when he was supposedly firing the shot that destroyed the Death Star. Why have these discrepancies never been investigated, let alone explained?"

The pilot was a budding Jedi. The most powerful Jedi ever, ya dumbas.

Re: Uncomfortable Questions: Was the Death Star Attack an Inside Job?
It could be possible that Lord Vador was working with the rebels all the time to get into a position where he could topple the empore and make peace with the rebels and live with his son and daughter. Maybe he needed help from the rebels to help weaken the empor because he knew he couldn't do it alone. But Luke was still traning not even a private in jedi terms. He didn't even have traing yet or have been checked out to fly a x wing fighter. I think that Obie One planted explosives in the tractor beam area where he first shut down the system so Han Solo could take off. That makes a lot more sense because Obie One new that Luke was still in traing and also that Luke coun't get the job done himself. That is the only conclusion is that Obi One planted explosives on the tractor beam and when that whent off it started a chain reaction and that caused the death star to blow up. I think that there is a third death star that has been fully built and fuctional and its in the Alderan system. The one that was destroyed in the Return of the jedi was a steup. bump

I really like the line of reasoning and insight this thread brings to my fellow GLPr's , even if it's only in jest, but for some real insights into how 'star' empires work .. openly and covertly nothing can beat the British series of Blakes 7. There we saw the high art of generating reality and feeding it to your subjects and enemies so well that even true perceptions were disbelieved.

Re: Uncomfortable Questions: Was the Death Star Attack an Inside Job?
As a Jedi Knight, I would like to address these questions...

First of all, that's the way it is, always was, and always will be. The bad guys NEVER win.

I haven't got all night to go too deeply into detail, but no advanced civilization with a mechanized army ever won a world war against a rag-tag rebel force. (Remember Viet Nam? The USA lost fair and square, or can't you deal with that?)

Let's start with Exodus...

Why was the adopted brother of the pharaoh Ramses II allowed to roam freely through the Egyptian kingdom after he had been banished? Why didn't the pharaoh put this mutherfucker's lights out??? Ramses II was the second longest ruling monarch in Egyptian history, couldn't he figure that out?

Now let's go to the country that had once been the light of the world, the United States of America...

How did a rag-tag army like the Continental Army beat George III's best bayonets led by his finest general, Cornwallis? Answer, same shit, different day. It never stops.

How about the greatest mechanized force the world had ever put together by 1942, the hideous Nazis led by nothing less than one of the biggest assholes ever to hit the pages of History, Adolf Hitler. When the Force finished with this bunch, no military force in history ever suffered a more humiliating defeat. 95% of all German POW's captured by the Sovier Union died in captivity.

Now what about the asshole who was selected to hand over Germany's sword to the allies after the country had been blown to smithereens, Admiral Doernitz? This piece of shit claimed that if he had another 150 U-Boats, Germany would have won the war. Oh yeah? I've never heard anything so ridiculous! This mindless idiot never changed the code on the Enigma Machine which was used to issue orders to submarine commanders. There is no lower level of stupidity that any military commander has ever stooped to. The allies broke the code and sunk a hell of a lot more than 150 submarines with the intelligent that they gathered.

Would you like to talk about Napolean?

Well, he was pretty stupid to think that severe weather had nothing to do with warfare, but it was Hitler who thought he was smarter than Napolean because he thought he could beat the Soviet Union on their own territory- in the middle of winere! Napolean was stupod enough, though, to think that he could get the entire world pissed off at him, then would win something. George Bush is the second guy to try that, and look at how far he's getting.

In short, The Force loves to get the bad guys going and to give them all the rope they need to hang themselves. Then he sends in the Jedi, and the truth prevails and they are justly hung. But what is the truth?

The truth is that all liars are scumbags, and although they will make a few impressive advances in the beginning, the final battle is eventually fought and they end up back in hell where they belong.

The story of Luke Skywalker and Obi Won Kenobi is nothing more than a story that is told over and over and over again, all throughout the universe. And that story about to be palyed out right here on the planet. (say "Goodnight, George!)

Strap in!

Uncomfortable Questions: Was the Death Star Attack an Inside Job?

Posted in Conspiracy Theories | Wednesday, February 28th, 2007 | Trackback

Websurdity Link: This article was inspired by the fine users at the James Randi Educational Foundation (JREF) Forum, to whom I am indebted for the use of much of this material.

We’ve all heard the “official conspiracy theory” of the Death Star attack. We all know about Luke Skywalker and his ragtag bunch of rebels, how they mounted a foolhardy attack on the most powerful, well-defended battle station ever built. And we’ve all seen the video over, and over, and over, of the one-in-a-million shot that resulted in a massive chain reaction that not just damaged, but completely obliterated that massive technological wonder.

Like many Americans, I was fed this story when I was growing up. But as I watched the video, I began to realize that all was not as it seemed. And the more I questioned the official story, the deeper into the rabbit hole I went.

Presented here are some of the results of my soul-searching regarding this painful event. Like many citizens, I have many questions that I would like answered: was the mighty Imperial government really too incompetent to prevent a handful of untrained nerf-herders from destroying one of their most prized assets? Or are they hiding something from us? Who was really behind the attack? Why did they want the Death Star destroyed? No matter what the answers, we have a problem.

Below is a summary of my book, Uncomfortable Questions: An Analysis of the Death Star Attack, which presents compelling evidence that we all may be the victims of a fraud of immense proportions.

Uncomfortable Questions about the Death Star Attack

The cover of Uncomfortable Questions: An Analysis of the Death Star Attack

1) Why were a handful of rebel fighters able to penetrate the defenses of a battle station that had the capability of destroying an entire planet and the defenses to ward off several fleets of battle ships?

2) Why did Grand Moff Tarkin refuse to deploy the station’s large fleet of TIE Fighters until it was too late? Was he acting on orders from somebody to not shoot down the rebel attack force? If so, who, and why?

3) Why was the rebel pilot who supposedly destroyed the Death Star reported to be on the Death Star days, maybe hours, prior to its destruction? Why was he allowed to escape, and why were several individuals dressed in Stormtrooper uniforms seen helping him?

4) Why has there not been an investigation into allegations that Darth Vader, the second-ranking member of the Imperial Government, is in fact the father of the pilot who allegedly destroyed the Death Star?

5) Why did Lord Vader decide to break all protocols and personally pilot a lightly armored TIE Fighter? Conveniently, this placed Lord Vader outside of the Death Star when it was destroyed, where he was also conveniently able to escape from a large-sized rebel fleet that had just routed the Imperial forces. Why would Lord Vader, one of the highest ranking members of the Imperial Government, suddenly decide to fly away from the Death Star in the middle of a battle? Did he know something that the rest of the Imperial Navy didn’t?

Emperor Palpatine fails to act after being informed of the attack

6) How could any pilot shoot a missile into a 2 meter-wide exhaust port, let alone a pilot with no formal training, whose only claim to fame was his ability to “bullseye womprats” on Tatooine? This shot, according to one pilot, would be “impossible, even for a computer.” Yet, according to additional evidence, the pilot who allegedly fired the missile turned off his targeting computer when he was supposedly firing the shot that destroyed the Death Star. Why have these discrepancies never been investigated, let alone explained?

7) Why has their been no investigation into evidence that the droids who provided the rebels with the Death Star plans were once owned by none other than Lord Vader himself, and were found, conveniently, by the pilot who destroyed the Death Star, and who is also believed to be Lord Vader’s son? Evidence also shows that the droids were brought to one Ben Kenobi, who, records indicate, was Darth Vader’s teacher many years earlier! Are all these personal connections between the conspirators and a key figure in the Imperial government supposed to be coincidences?

8) How could a single missile destroy a battle station the size of a moon? No records, anywhere, show that any battle station or capital ship has ever been destroyed by a single missile. Furthermore, analysis of the tape of the last moments of the Death Star show numerous small explosions along its surface, prior to it exploding completely! Why does all evidence indicate that strategically placed explosives, not a single missile, is what destroyed the Death Star?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 141591

Never underestimate the power of the Force!
