Mysterious things in psychiatric health care?
I was committed many years back because I had talked about suicide. I was quite certain I could go there and see a doctor without being committed. Sadly they knew of a previous attempt I'd had some years back, so I ended up being committed. This although I seemed calm and sane...

Well it didn't go so badly and with time I even enjoyed some aspects of being there. Still, a couple of times I took it to court to try to be released. In connection with this my journal came up and I also got a copy or part of it.

Here is were it gets creepy... In The journal it said something like...

"Patient has a known history of mental illness. Has been in and out of hospitals since 1987 when he stops talking his medication."

The truth is I hadn't been committed more than once before. That was for a short period after a suicide attempt. 1987 I hadn't even seen a psychiatrist and been diagnosed with anything. It was years later I got diagnosed and with only a anxiety related disorder.

So how did that end up in my journal? I figured it must have been a mistake and I at least got the doctor to remove it. Still pretty scary though...

Have you ever heard of something similar? I finally got out of there place but only after I stopped appealing to court. I did that because I missed the deadline...

Terrible thing about being committed is that the patients have little say about treatment. Also, should they "escape" the police will come after them. So one would have to hide and live like a escaped convict then.

Either it was just a mistake like I figured then. What it said was from someone else's journal. But still...

I think they just make up whatever they feel like.
No one ever questions them.

I see now journal should be "medical record".

But why? It could have had serious consequences but luckily I got them to change it.

Later I was diagnosed with a a condition when I went to a psychologist to do an IQ test. He didn't talk to me about my situation or anything and that he'd come up with a diagnosis came as a check. I confronted him about it later in a joking way and he said he'd had to write something. No, he hadn't especially since it's been "revoked" since and I don't even fit the criteria.

It should be shock...

I don't have that diagnosis but it could give me problems being believed about other things. Clearly it was wrong and even if it was a mistake it isn't correct medical practice to diagnose a person based on two sessions where not even questions were asked. I was also feeling worse then than usual then which he would have realized had he asked.

Re: Mysterious things in psychiatric health care?
SO NOW YOU KNOW HOW social workers LIE,
or as the legal eagles say--ENHANCE.....fabricate.....false and misleading statements.

IF THIS CRAP has you upset or has been detrimental in a job search YOU CAN
type up a statement of truth/affidavit of truth, get it notarised as such and
GET IT INSERTED INTO THE CHART under the title AND RIGHT of addendum.
THAT IS YOUR RIGHT and the chart IS a legal document the same.
KEEP IT SHORT AND SIMPLE AND LEAVE NO ROOM FOR ANY FURTHER INTERPRETATION.
there is nothing creepy here--these bastard SOCIAL WORKERS embellish and ENTER FALSE STATEMENTS ROUTINELY.
ALWAYS BE AWARE OF WHAT IS ON YOUR RECORDS AND CORRECT THEM VIA ADDENDUM.

if this chart is part of the court record, take your notarised addendum/statement of truth, ADD CERTIFICATE OF SERVICE and take it to the court's record room AND HAVE IT PUT ON YOUR COURT CASE RECORD AND REQUEST AT LEAST ONE CERTIFIED COURT COPY AND TELL THE CLERK YOU WILL WAIT FOR IT--do NOT LEAVE WITHOUT IT
now there are examples and HELP OM THE INTERNET regarding the certificate of service which is NOTHING MORE than a certain formatting BS as to where it was prepared, the dte it was prepared and where it is this is going and in your case it is gonna be the legal street address of the courthouse and record room HAND DELIVERED to be inserted onto court case whatever #.

IT IS ALSO A FEDERAL CRIME TO INSERT FALSE AND FABRICATED STATEMENTS....and due to people NOT HAVING THE CAPACITY TO SUE THE SHIT OUTTA THEM, it is routine.

there is a special corner IN HELL dedicated to these lying POS as they HAVE CAUSED INJURY TO OTHERS WITH THEIR LIES.
CPS is the prime example known to most but probate/guardianship and juvie are right there as well,

Re: Mysterious things in psychiatric health care?
I can't do very much since I don't even have the chart with the false statements left. But really... If anyone on purpose has put false information into my chart/records it's very serious as you say.

And the consequences don't end even if it was long ago since the records can be accessed by medical staff. So things that are outright lies linger on. I've blocked my records from further access by anyone though and the totally false statements have been removed m

I've got other and a whole lot worse things I could write about that are later developments. Things that are public and known by officials but seriously scary.

Re: Mysterious things in psychiatric health care?
I had a friend like you that couldn't remember. Electroshock pretty much erased a lot of his memories.

I suspect they still drug people and give them secret lobotomies too.
