Hawaii is too hard to hit....but we also have about 20,000 military personnel in South Korea/ Japan. So I think San Diego is not a likely target. |

In southeastern North Carolina, earthquake lists show seven events between 1871 and 1968. Each event was reported by people who felt it or heard it. The problem with the earthquake explanation is that something that is felt or heard that strongly should have been recorded on nearby seismographs (these are the instruments that record ground shaking for seismologists to analyze). A seismologist in Virginia who has tried, has never been able to match any of the reported Seneca guns with his seismograph records, and he has tried lots of times over the years. New Madrid, Missouri There are accounts of "artillery"-like sounds that were said to have occurred before or during the New Madrid earthquakes of 1811-1812. A day later, a stream of solar wind arrived, hit, and had the same effect. In Lancashire, England, a magnetometer operated by Stuart Green captured the quaking of Earth's magnetic field: [link to spaceweather.com] |

I didn't even think to open this site to check for something moving really fast. I don't normally share this link, I usually just screen cap it for people, but it's kinda buried in this thread, so. pretty cool site.. Better than the other plane finder type sites. Last night at about 6pm and until I fell off at 10pm, was noticeably high amount of afterburners going off, FWIW. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9284904 Yeah, it's crazy how late they go sometimes.. For some reason right where my house is, those afterburners or engine testing really rumble the heck out of my house.. A rumble is not a boom. |
