Anonymous Coward User ID: 59404040 Canada 05/06/2017 10:35 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It goes without saying but NEVER EVER give out either your phone number or email until well after a few dates. I learned the hard way on the phone number part. Our first meeting she showed up very drunk right from the get go. I could tell straight away she was drunk so we parted company after the appropriate amount of time. I wanted nothing to do with her. Well she proceeded to smash into another car in the parking lot the place we met at. Of course being drunk she had to flee the scene but not before she scribbled a note to leave on the windshield of the destroyed vehicle. Other people looked on and must have said to themselves, what a responsible older woman to leave such vital information for the insurance companies. Take a guess of who's phone number she left. Next thing I know the lawyers are trying to sue me for the accident saying I purposely tried to get this lady drunk so I could take advantage of her sexually. My ONLY saving grace was the fact that I actually told the two waitresses that I was on a blind date and to please give us a bit more attention when serving us. The waitress also noted that this lady was a drunk and her comments saved me from a very expensive situation. Personally I stay away from internet dating but NEVER EVER give out personal information until at least the third date. Don't make the same mistake I made, it could literally cost you a ton of cash. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 74769954 United States 05/06/2017 04:35 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ... Quoting: Starbird My friend who is still out there tells me men tell her this. She competes in body building and her pictures are recent. She said the biggest thing she would hear was "Wow, you really look like your pictures" ~ But my question is why are you paying? These are meet up/blind date kind of situations right? Why are you paying, it should be dutch. Because I'm not/wasn't broke and my momma told me too. That really has nothing to do with money. But this is a whole different thread. But I don't think a man should have to feel obligated to pay for a "just meeting" for the first time arrangement. I actually got mad at a former friend of mine who went out with a man she was not attracted to - just to have a nice diner. Ugh. People who use others - of either gender - can't stomach. I watched a show online a few weeks ago called "First Dates" where they basically eavesdrop on people's dates. There was one that didn't go so well and when the server came with the bill and asked if it would be on one bill, the guy said no. The woman he was on a date with FLIPPED. She went off on how much money a woman spends when getting ready for a first date. It was pretty funny. She didn't enjoy herself, he didn't either, yet she still thought he should pay for the whole thing. LOL. Any "date" that doesn't end up with lots of fondling at least and ideally sex/sleepover should be paid for dutch. Guys are tired of entertaining loser females on their dime just for a handshake. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 74769954 United States 05/06/2017 04:45 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The key is to be EXTREMELY HONEST and say EXACTLY what you want... and make sure you put a CURRENT picture ... Quoting: Mystical Life That only works for good looking girls. Can you imagine me getting any responses if I posted my age as 70 seeking a 20 year old? Money and assets don't matter like they used to. The worst thing is that the girls would never even see the picture, just the number called "age". It's a deal killer. Honesty too early in the game is stupid. |
