User ID: 72616888 United States 04/10/2017 07:40 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I tried to play it, but all the dialogue and cutscenes made it feel like more of a movie than a video game. On top of that, the controls are shitty. It was made for console gamers, go use with their controllers... You aint gettin no where with a mouse and keyboard, which immediately turned me off to the pos... PC Master Race. The Witcher 3 forsook the computer players, to appeal to consoles. Thus forcing people to buy consoles, or a console controller for their PC, which isn't the same as a legitimate console. More like console lite, that tastes like piss. And Geralt is a fag. Only the insane have the strength to prosper. Only those that prosper, judge what is sane. |

Only level 23, but yeah, an amazing game for sure. One of the best ever made. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73190990 I also like that they were fuck you to western liberalism and diversity quotas. Blood and Wine is perhaps better than the main game. There is a giant vampire army / attack on a city, a "book of 1000 tales" that transports you into yet ANOTHER land / zone that will have you laughing at each encounter, and some of the best visuals ever put into the game. Oh and DO manage / upgrade your estate as there are some real serious perks revealed if you do so. Only downside is now my character is 53 and he's back to the end of the main story...and those encounters are designed for around level 25. So I'm slicing and dicing everything...which is kind of fun as well. Heart of Stone was a bit tedious, but it does explain one of the earliest encounters you have in the game AND let's you level up quite nicely. I didn't enjoy it as much as Blood and Wine. |

HoS was inspired by the legend of Jan Twardowski, where Twardowski is von Everec and devil Boruta is mr.Mirror. Olgierd actually has clothes typical of 17th-century Polish/Lithuanian nobility and even a typical sabre. As to the witches. The most important pre-Christian sacred worship site in Poland and possibly all Slavic lands was called Lysa Gora, which is Bald Mountain, don't know what the translation was but it is probably Bald Mountain. According to some legends it was where witches would meet for sabbaths, but honestly, that's a rather late, christian-era version of the story. I prefer a different one, which to some extent was taken into consideration by the authors of the game. In the scene at the Bald Mountain, Imlerith is sitting on a throne of stone surrounded by succubi, which reminds me of a report of an Arab traveller describing Kagan-ar-Rus in the land of Arthania, who had a stone throne and 40 wives. Apparently, Bald Mountain was the home of 'Army of Ghosts'/Army of the Dead - warriors painting their bodies grey and black, fighting at night, wearing war bonnets and black shields. They were called Harii/Haryas. Here's a coin showing skull with a war bonnet, if I remember well, it comes from around 1st century BC [link to bialczynski.pl] |
