I already sent the videos to the family! 2 years ago I buried my 18 yr old cat, Sparky. My mom had a friend with a farm and he said I could bury him there. As I drove up there was a brown Burmese cat, standing as if waiting for us and when I got out of the car the cat ran off and out of sight. I asked the farmer about the cat and he said he didn't see it and he had seen cats around but never a brown one. It was funny because Sparky's companion for 8 years was a brown cat that looked just like it and I thought she was there to say it was okay.  I have no doubt that you are exactly correct in your thinking. Animals also serve as angels. Just like human spiritual synchronicities, fur babies find a way to send their comfort to us when we need it, too. I'll never forget a call that came into a radio talk show of Dr. David Viscott, way back in the nineties. (he is the guy that the TV character "Frasier" was based on). The caller just lost his dog and Viscott told him that we will always outlive our pets and when we mourn we also mourn the end of an era. It seems to be true, because thru my life the different pets that I have had, each with their own personality, seemed to be exactly what I needed at the time, so when they pass it does feel like the end of an era. And some, I guess are longer than others.
