A composer put together a concerto for her music.

That is funny. The audience really enjoyed it and some of the comments on the video are saying they liked the music too.

Re: Nora The Piano Cat
Nora is adorable! She seems to actually love to mimic her humans and enjoys making the sounds. And she does a darn good job with her "solo" pieces.

My kitties would cry when I practiced piccolo. One would jump on my lap and bonk his head against the end of it. Guess I could use some music lessons from little Nora!

Quite the little musicians, aren't they?

Hey, think I saw in another thread that you recently lost your kitty? I'm so sorry. I am still mourning my baby of 17 years and he passed on November 9th last fall. Hang in there. Hope each day gets less heavy on the heart.

And thanks for this thread. I already sent the videos to the family!

2 years ago I buried my 18 yr old cat, Sparky. My mom had a friend with a farm and he said I could bury him there. As I drove up there was a brown Burmese cat, standing as if waiting for us and when I got out of the car the cat ran off and out of sight.

I asked the farmer about the cat and he said he didn't see it and he had seen cats around but never a brown one. It was funny because Sparky's companion for 8 years was a brown cat that looked just like it and I thought she was there to say it was okay.

What makes any cat video truly funny is that smug look when showing off. A good laugh.
All characters and events in this forum --even those based on real people-- are entirely fictional. All celebrity comments are impersonated...poorly. The above post contains coarse language and due to the content it should not be viewed by anyone.

In one of the videos, the owner says that Nora will lay her head on the keys and it looks like Nora can see and hear the vibration of the note long after we have stopped hearing it. The vibration must hit her just right so she starts vibrating too.

Who know who else likes music? Cows! That's right, by the end of this video all the cows in the pasture have gathered round to listen to the accordion:

I'll never forget a call that came into a radio talk show of Dr. David Viscott, way back in the nineties. (he is the guy that the TV character "Frasier" was based on). The caller just lost his dog and Viscott told him that we will always outlive our pets and when we mourn we also mourn the end of an era.

It seems to be true, because thru my life the different pets that I have had, each with their own personality, seemed to be exactly what I needed at the time, so when they pass it does feel like the end of an era. And some, I guess are longer than others.

Re: Nora The Piano Cat
Thank you OP. Fantastic thread.

I have heard the Catcerto and seen the video with the composer before but somehow I did not look further.

Thank you for posting the other videos. Now I know about Nora.

I will pass the videos around.

More people need to see this.

Three cheers for Nora the Cat!

I had a dog that learned how to sing the blues...and he got quite good at the end..would sing in harmony and everything...his ear was amazing for an animal...unfortunately he died rather young and i never made a video.to this day I kick myself, as I cant share the experience with others...it really was something to see.
With every talent it started small..I noticed while playing the piano or guitar anytime i hit tritone type intervals hebwpuld stary howling...and it juat kind of built from there after i trained him to do it on command we explored other intervals...and after a couple of years he was amazing.
