Watched it and I agree, magnetic field is altering the light propagation. But not sure if that is simply from reflection/refraction changes.

I would love to see the same experiment done with an electromagnet that can be turned on/off. Or a magnet with a way to close it and reroute the field back to its pole.


That would be more conclusive.

wait....I almost watched the whole thing. Would be funny if he did that at the end.

A spherical ferrocell would be awesome. Where it can be opened up and place magnet inside.

I wonder if it can be done with some heavy mil plastic sheet. Then you would have a flexible ferrocell.

That is pretty cool.

I think the rounding is from surface tension and the stretch to egg shape is from fighting gravity while levitating.

Egg shape I am not too sure.... but the rounding seems normal for any fluid suspended.

I was thinking about a water pump. Such a device should move anything below it that is not held in place. Water is not held in place.

It probably could draw water out of objects. Like cactus.
