If a tree falls in the woods and no one is around to hear it, dose it make a sound?

I will end as i start...Observation not needed. vibration is sound. When I talk to you your ears turn vibration into words so we can communicate with each other. (For the sake of simplicity I will not go into telepathy). I am not there communicating with the tree, so when it fell and thunderously crashed to the ground, sound vibrations were scattered in all directions. Because I was there to communicate and pick up the sound waves this of course doesn't mean noise wasn't made. It just means 'I' personally didn't hear it. Then there are separate dicussions on the table..how far does sound travel...? May I did, but due to distance I picked it up extra low frequency soft enough as to not to disturb me. Were there animals present, that dashed off apon hearing the tree fall...then they heard it...either or, no matter how thin you slice it or what school of thought makes you feel safe...if it made vibration, noise as we know it was made. For this is noise as we know it....observation not needed
