If a tree falls in the woods and no one is around to hear it, dose it make a sound?

Stupid question.
Sound is caused by vibration so when the tree falls and hits the ground there will be vibration causing sound in the area around it depending on how strong the vibration is...
Are you saying because you are not around the tree is not there?
Then there wouldn't be a tree to begin with, and that's ridiculous.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74566498 Almost. The fallen tree will cause the vibrations no matter what. Ears in the vicinity are required to convert those vibrations into sound.
