Mandatory health insurance is just for the individual. Also the non mandated "mandatory" health insurance that has been required before obamacare is what has allowed hospitals to price out self payers |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70749441 Mandatory health insurance is just for the individual. Also the non mandated "mandatory" health insurance that has been required before obamacare is what has allowed hospitals to price out self payers I considered this. How about the liability to our families, scrabbling to find money to pay for treatment, or to our local hospital that writes off millions in uncovered/unrecoverable cost? I'm really not trying to be inflammatory or an asshole. It's just been on my mind. That family is scrambling due to the monopoly insurance companies have on health care. You don't end a monopoly by letting them use the government as their enforcers in their extortion scheme. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70749441 Thank you for reading and not just being negative. I agree costs for care are out of this world. I was just wondering how others thought about this subject. It should be called "protect your car from stupid drivers" insurance. Seriously at least 60% of americans don't know how to make a right turn/signal, at my 4 way stop I maybe recorded over at least 50+ accidents throughout the year, cause people don't know how to fking turn! |

But they still keep taking out the premiums, as if I could somehow cough up the $ for a doctor or dentist after losing that much money each week. I can't think of anything else I pay for with no expectation of benefit. Seems like legalized parasites to me. Last two times I needed medical, insurance denies treatment, so I guess I'll just give up. |
