Worse than El Niño or La Niña - Sechura desert is now a lake


That's what's left of a bridge on the main peruvian higbway Panamericana Norte. Has been raining heavily in Piura for 10 days in a row now.

Meteorologists don't have a name for this "anomaly".

It was a lake during the last La Niña event.

But usually it's a desert.

Piura is in worse shape than the 1983 El Niño.
