Re: THE BITCOIN IS STRONG
There will be more, it will happen, people know this. Either the terms weren't fair for those in the bitcoin industry, they weren't fair for those involved in ETF trading, or they weren't fair to the public... whichever, it is a good thing it did not pass today. There is still more work and growth to be done before that juncture. It is a requirement first, before it passes, that people understand its value is not defined by the value of an ETF trade. Its value is in and of itself, shared with those who share with it.

The decision had an impact today, clearly, but many thought the decision would drop it significantly more. Same thing happened early January... it dropped, but 'twas but a blip. THE BITCOIN IS STRONG.

Then have an online wallet and a local wallet then sync them.

- Local wallet on physical machine

[link to bitcoin.org (secure)]

- Online wallet to provide back up for your wallet. Fill out all the security steps please.

[link to blockchain.info (secure)]

Like itunes syncs your library. Or just have the blockchain address from the online wallet. Works either way.

Then hopefully you saved it on a card or disc or usb elsewhere, preferably saved in a fireproof safe, encrypted.

Then you'd just need to find someone who has the blockchain themselves, or re-download it yourself and sync up. Very easy.

Or, as another poster said earlier, have it backed-up online as well. I personally don't keep large amounts of btc online through 3rd parties very long, but that's more of a personal preference these days.... many safe 3rd-party wallets out there

You can read about it really anywhere, look at sources you tend to trust for the scoop. It's very straightforward, intuitive, once you get going. I suggest looking at coinbase.com as a platform to begin with, they've created a very user-friendly platform. That's where I started, though there are many options.

Not better today. There is no EMP today. Tomorrow, who knows. I say best is having supplies for both rainy and sunny days.

But I'll extend that to say this: In the case of an extraordinary disaster that wiped out many things, internet included, internet would be one of the first functions to be restored. It would need to be.

Fair enough, no skin off my back good sir. It is going to replace all forms of monetary exchange... better to be in early than not. People are afraid of the possibility of the mark of the beast coming out of cryptocurrencies. I assure you, it will, but it will be a fork off of what bitcoin (or ethereum, or some other) currently is. You do not support the beast by putting $ into btc, right now you fight it as its volume lies in the USD Stay true, and there is no reason to fear you'll wind up chipped.
