As back in 1930's some engineers said to get water from north (Vancouver/Seattle area) not east from colorado river, which is massive drying up now to feed Arizona cities and Las Vegas area. As said 'human stupidity is job security' as shown from engineers of 1930's with Hoover dam. Told to build water channels from north (Seattle/Vancouver area) not east (Colorado river). I guess USA incompetent and inept engineers never stop being retarded as with many screwed up major engineering projects in USA from past. N'uff said..  |

I'll look for more coverage but, for now, live link: Quoting: YanceyDoodleDandy very little water actually traveling down the remaining spillway now. almost 100% of the water is heading towards the Dam side of the spillway. you can even see water flowing to the left of the spillway. There is a stream channel on the ES side that was at least 10 feet wide in spots. It has slowed to a trickle with the outflow set at 55K per second. But they've raised the flow to 60K which might start the stream up again. Here is a photo from 02/17/17 when the flow was closer to 100K. [link to imgur.com (secure)] There is also a much greater stream bed that was created when the ES was overflowing but is now inactive. The true danger of that stream is that it starts very close to the top of the MS chute. If that earth washes away, the gate area could collapse. Yes, I did cure my Stage 4 cancer in two weeks when I was 48. I also reversed my chronic kidney disease (glomerulonephritis) when I was 25. In neither case were any medical treatments involved. |
