i have no idea who the OP is or what else they may have posted today or any other day. however,i bet u 90% of the ppl on GLP would agree with at least half of that list above. as for these ideas being posted for 10 or 20 yrs, check your news. they have happened and are getting worse. this can b proven by local news,which is more truthful than national. and if u look at what the country and gov has done more than what they say,read between the lines so to speak. drug use,arrest records,# of drug rehab centers,medical reports,etc.

Well my Mayor and I were in the NJ State House last week listening to the Assistant Director of the NJDOT and the depleted Transportation Trust Fund and the picture painted was not good. I used to drive on the Pulaksi Skyway every day to work for a couple of years and I could tell you that this beast, as wonderful as it is, is not only a maintenance nightmare but will never be able to be maintained in any good shape whatsoever because of the huge cost and the shape it was in. I have had many cases where I have had to inspect the undersides of small county bridges and culvert crossing in our county and they are all in rotten shape as well. Mankind has a habit of building a lot faster than we can maintain and of refusing to pay what real maintenance costs, preferring to replace rather than repair. The cost differential of such policy is staggering. Go underneath a bridge structure someday, anywhere in the country, especially in an area where road salt is spread in the Winter. It is not only mind boggling, but frightening.

And we have a very extensive and always ongoing under-overpass sandblasting/repainting program that can never keep up with the deterioration cause by the elements.
