However i have found this article which is interesting in that apparently a cold spell in taiwan was possibly responsible for 150 mystery deaths over a 5 day period, reported on the 17th Feb. I appreciate the location of Taiwan to the Fukushima Prefecture, however found it interesting, given that the op suggested a comms blackout from Japan but mentioned nothing of a black out for Taiwan.
